The Kansas City Winter Ruckus

As this town endures a frozen tundra fraught with peril and local corruption, tonight we contemplate the GOLD STANDARD of Kansas City discourse offering cleaned up mainstream opinion on local topics both local and national.

Check the description . . .

"Mike Shanin, Jim Heeter, Mary Anne Murray Simons, Ron Freeman and Patrick Tuohey discuss the recent results of Kansas City Public Schools test scores, the district's progress towards gaining full accreditation and its stance on the pre-K tax. Panelists also discuss the potential truce in the business border war between Kansas and Missouri and the State of the Union Address and Democrats response."

Take a look:

  1. WTF? Why is Shanin shouting at the beginning of the show? Does he always do that?

    1. ^^^ Yes, he has done that for awhile but it was mostly unnoticed because it was between the interview segment and the discussion. It's a little stranger to start the show but probably useful in waking up viewers who had already fallen asleep.

  2. KC School District - 85,000 students at its height now less than 15,000 student. Does that sound like a district that is thriving? Didn't think so.

  3. How'd the discussion go. Anything get accomplished?

  4. NO TO PRE-K SALES TAX. KC should learn to stop looting from residents.

  5. Even Ruckus says that the President was off message and did a horrible idea.

  6. ^^^ Only the libs. Libtard!

  7. “Did a horrible idea?” Seriously?

  8. Black economist Walter Williams writes:

Keeping blacks blind to the folly of unquestioned support for the Democratic Party by keeping blacks fearful, angry and resentful and painting the Republican Party as racist is vital. Democrats never want blacks to seriously ask questions about what the party has done for them. Here are some facts. The nation’s most troublesome and dangerous cities — Indianapolis, Stockton, Oakland, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Kansas City, Baltimore, Memphis, St. Louis and Detroit — have been run by Democrats, often black Democrats, for nearly a half-century. These and other Democratic-run cities are where blacks suffer the highest murder rates and their youngsters attend the poorest-performing and most unsafe schools.

  9. ^^^^^ Have to agree with a lot of that. The most conservative guy on the panel was Black. If you look at some of the real leader in the community, on social issues they are very conservative .

  10. Why would it cost 30 million a year for about a thousand kids to go to pre-k? Just tell the truth here, the whole reason to have pre-k is to get these kids away from drugged up and alchoholic whore baby mommas who only want the cash the gubmint is giving them. I suppose this will include taxi rides to and from school, three squares a day and doing their laundry too.

30 million a year, that’s effing rediculous especially when they already have existing pre-k.

I think it’s funny that the guy in charge of the school district was to big a pussy to show up!

  11. It costs 18,000 a year to send a kid to public school and 30,000 a year for pre k in kcps.

Private school costs half as much and pre k is about 8 times cheaper, it’s time to eliminate public schools and make these dumbass hoodrats learn instead of dumbing it down to a grade school level and letting them pass wether they earned a diploma or not. What a joke

    1. You raise a very interesting idea and a friend of mine who teaches in a largely black Jr college would back you. She remains perpetually unnerved each fall as her freshman class is enrolled for college-level material yet cannot read at a third-grade level.

  12. How is it that a male black mayor of a city can’t clamp down on male black on black murder? I mean the killing in this city is worse per capita than Chicago. Fact. We have progressive city council folks absent on murder and standing in line for airport taxes. 1 billion, 2 billion, hey how about 4 billion? Screw it...as long as a lesbian becomes mayor who cares about finances because it’s all about social justice. Right?

This is NOT a safe city. Last year people were gunned down in river market. Just the other night someone was gunned down in downtown. People in KCMO are getting shot up and we have geyser boy downplaying murder and rape.

He always says “hey gramps don’t go outside”. No, people go and live their lives but expecting a city they pay taxes in to shut down crime is not out of the ordinary. Geyser boy is an AOC freak.

Kansas City is not all that. I know everyone wants to wear “I heart KC” shirts, but it’s messed up. Corporate welfare, murders, and corruption at city hall. A county jail with a rape problem, and an airport debacle. It’s SO progressive!

  14. In a 2-7-19 post on TKC Dr. Gayden Carruth exposed the fallacy in Slie's pre-K proposal.
“According to the mayor’s plan, only 25 to 30 percent of the approximately $30 million in sales-tax revenue will be spent for direct services to children during the first three years.”
This would leave Slie a $21 to $22.5 million slush fund for who knows what. The schools should definitely not support this money grabbing scheme.

  15. This is why we should all support Trumps efforts against the un fair trade deals we have with the developing world. We have areas that need developed here. To start that we need good manufacturing jobs that people with 3rd grade reading levels can do. Jobs is the way out of crime and poverty.

  16. WELCOME TO PROVISIONALLY ACCREDITED RUCKUS

    KCPS
Mary Anne Murray "My Name Is Too Long" Simons opens with liberal B.S. as usual.
Patrick Tuohey calmly speaks truth and completely incinerates the liberal whitewash.
Jim "I Got Rich Milking The Chamber + a Mercedes" Heeter spreads more liberal B.S. like the snake-oil salesman that he is.
Ron Freeman resolves the dispute, ruling that provisional accreditation is insignificant because KCPS is reaching the base layer where peers have already been for decades.

    FROSTY BOWTIE TAX HIKE
Heeter wants to raise your taxes..AGAIN! Spouts false statistics for buddy Sly.
Tuohey follows with the perfect rebuttal, citing hard facts. In fact, what Tuohey just said is one of the most important things ever spoken on Ruckus.

MUST WATCH THIS: 9:10 to 10:10 mark
    Patrick Tuohey mic drop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. 8:45 is 100% right. Gutting the jobs base as NAFTA and other free trade treaties has done has really hurt black jobs, and a lot of others too. There are large swaths of KC where there just aren’t any jobs at all let alone decent paying ones. Is it too much to ask that the American economy produce enough decent jobs for our people? Does it make me a socialist if I think the concept of “working poor” should not even be a thing - as in, if you work, you should not be poor. Unemployment statistics are a joke. The question is how many jobs are there. If you factor in the prison population, the fifteen million on SSI disability, etc., there just aren’t enough jobs generated by the American economy for the American people and free trade deals that the Davos globalists love are a reason why.
    Thanks,
    Radish
