Season Of KCMO Homicide Vigils Starts Early

A bad joke sparked this horrific killing and over the weekend locals lamented "pathetic" local violence and leadership against the tragic trend. Take a look:

Family holds vigil for 22-year-old murdered last week

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Sunday, family and friends held a vigil for a 22-year-old murder victim at Sheffield Park. Lakeasha Taylor was shot and killed at a home last week near East 12th and Fremont. Taylor's family said Sunday her life was cut short over an innocent joke.

  2. Instead of having these vigils black people need to learn how to control their anger and become socially literate.

  5. So what was the joke? Must have been a good one! I'll bet it was a Polish joke or a blond joke, and Jermaine or D'Quan or whatever his name is was offended by its bigotry against Eastern Europeans and bimbos. No jury will ever convict him for that.

  7. Great opportunity for "community" entrepreneurs !!

Learn the funeral directors trade. Folks are dying to use your services in the community.

Have a separate balloon biz on the side.

Kickback to fat revs to have them use your services.

    Make millions !!

  9. I quit a 100K+ per year job and moved in with elderly parents to care for them as they have severe medical issues. My parents dont pay me anything for 24x7 care I provide. But my siblings (in their 60's) chant repeatedly that "you dont pay rent" ALL the time. If someone wants to HATE you, they are going to find a "reason" to HATE you. I think there is more to this story. A small comment about rent may be a signal of unbridled hate and contempt towards someone. Just a unfriendly glace at someone tell them you do not like them. Words are much more powerful.
