Interview on the topic of TV broadcaster alleged discrimination, retaliation and a trial result that's mixed at best but mostly bad for the future of a journalist that we'll likely never see on TV again. Read more:
Former KSHB Reporter Lisa Benson Recounts 'Hurtful' Discrimination, Retaliation Trial
Former KSHB-TV Channel 41 reporter Lisa Benson says her race discrimination and retaliation case against the station where she'd worked for 14 years was a trial in more ways than one.
This fat bitch won’t ever get hired again by anybody. Good riddance, lard ass.
ReplyDeleteNobody is buying the race card crap anymore, get over it and your sorry ass self lisa
ReplyDeleteThe jury didn’t even buy the racial discrimination.
ReplyDeleteHurtful, hateful...how about bullshitfull.
ReplyDeleteLisa can cool her heels and coast on some of her settlement money and then probably show up in some PR or spokesman job in local Jackson County/KCMO government.
ReplyDeleteHernandez will be a hard act to follow when it comes to being disingenuous, able to lie with a straight face, living in a fantasy world, and sucking up to his boss, but Lisa should do just fine.
And, if it doesn't work out, just sue again for discrimination. The courts are unlikely to see your career pattern.
Bull Shit
ReplyDeletePlease remember that KSHB is the station that crapped on all their existing veteran staff when they hired the young husband and wife anchor team.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame Lisa Benson for filing the claim, and believe she had a legitimate case.
Unfortunately, television broadcast news is a terrible business that's getting worse. Local news is now nearly exclusively entertainment based drivel, driven by consultants, and a desperate quest to hawk advertising. It's not a "news" business.
I think they discriminated against her lack of talent. Since she is a coloured gal they were obligated to overlook the fact that she had very low skills.
ReplyDeleteAfter she eats her way through that lawsuit money, she will be so fat nobody will hire her. I guess they wouldn’t hire her anyway, though.
ReplyDeleteGo away Lisa.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that some lawyer told her to file the suit and they would automatically open the treasury. Scripts company has stations all over the country and they know the game so it wasn't that simple. She should have just sucked it up, maybe moved over to channel 9.
