Missouri Remains Unclean

Important update on Missouri ethics reform or the lack thereof . . . Despite the best intentions, the effort to overturn this good government reform legislation is moving along quickly. Checkit:

Bill Reversing Voter Decision On Lawmakers' Records Advances In Missouri Senate

A bill that would change Missouri's open records law has made it through a Missouri Senate committee and is moving forward. The bill would reverse a decision made by voters in November when they approved a Constitutional amendment known as "Clean Missouri." Senate Bill 132 is sponsored by Senator Ed Emery of Lamar.

  1. All we can hope for is a Court challenge on the constitutionality of these Bills if they are padded.
    Otherwise why have a Constitution at all?

  4. After reading the article, it sounds to me as if these 'representatives' are scared the stupid shit they say when they debate on legislation will become open to the public. SMDH.
