Over the last week City Hall has been blasted over snow & ice removal social media push back and criticism . . . Sadly, the latest video update from 12th & Oak doesn't reflect that frustration but instead focuses on the community calendar, more cash for tourist traps and upcoming budget meetings.
For better or worse, here's a glimpse for late night local blog denizens who might feel comforted by big talk a lies:

Actually, those budget meetings are important and might be the only way to secure money for neighborhoods. Council knows the residents who show up and schedule a comment are serious and will probably also be voting.
ReplyDelete^^^^ That might be true that voters show up the the meetings but they are rarely heard to acknowledged. Mostly just it's just a publicity stunt.

ReplyDeleteJust remember the $500,000 that Reed took out of the 3rd District PIAC fund to help pay for a STUDY for THE streetcar expansion.
Half a million that was specifically to be used for infrastructure work in a part of town that could use the help.
Talk is cheap.
Meetings are worse.
Just watch what people actually DO.
Then spend your time accordingly.
