Kansas City Weekend Violence Roundup

During this elections silly season it's important to hold politicos accountable for their big talk about changing local realities.

This weekend proved to be another violent work week respite. Here's the damage:

A double shooting in the Jazz District left one man dead.

Blue Parkway hosted another double shooting and a spate of bullets flying throughout an urban core community.

A 4-year-old girl suffered life threatening gunshot woulds and remains in the hospital fighting for life.

Remember, these are just the headlines and don't count for all of the gunshots, assaults and multiple car thefts that don't make the news.

Still . . . This quick weekend roundup provides an important retort against so many politicos touting "progress" in the fight against crime as part of their election bid.

  1. I know what will fix this:

    A new hotel

    more streetcar

    and mlk blvd.

Oh wait, we tried that and it didn't work.

  2. Don't forget 50 million new affordable apartments that aren't affordable that no one is going to rent. Unless of course they want to end up dead. Oh and the new stores and coffee shops too that makes killers feel better. Lets all go shopping at the new four corners this summer. I don't think so.

  5. This is what happens when city hall throws $100 million plus at a failing area and it does not stick except to the grifters wallets. Cheepto is very proud of this failure.

  8. Until the black community admits it has major problems that they have brought on themselves and quit blaming everyone else, black violence will continue.

Until (welfare) black mothers insist their kids have responsible black daddies, there is no end to this.

    I have a (pipe) dream!
