  3. River runner departs union station twice a day , 8am and about 4pm. Expect multiple delays as you wait for the union Pacific lines that give freight the priority. Look out your window and watch traffic on 50 highway buzz along faster than the train I have ridden it nine times in past 18 months and has not been on time more than once. Also I believe the Chicago to Santa Fe line stops in KC too. That is it I believe. This is the status of modern passenger rail in our country even tho we have $20 trillion debt. We choose militarism over investing in domestic infrastructure and it is showing.
