Kansas City Southland Shames City Manager Troy Schulte Over Snow & Ice Removal FAIL

City Hall might call it "social media bullying" whilst others think of it as advocacy . . . What's clear is that KCMO is outraged on the topic of lackluster streets and the performance of 12th & Oak. Read more:

SKC homeowners took to Twitter to ask for roads to be plowed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Another round of winter weather is coming, but for some South Kansas City residents the old one is still here. Hunter just off East 90th Terrace still has not been plowed since the last storm. Elizabeth Lawrence-Wait said, "Look at our street.

  1. that looks a lot better than some of the ice rinks in the northland. Don't even get me started about the parking lots.

  2. How about shaming the city manager for all these crazy ass development deals like the new airport? It’s $1BILLION over what was originally put on the ballot!! This city manager was promoted from the city hall finance department with no executive experience. He’s such a buffoon! How about hiring a city manager that knows what he or she is doing?

  3. The city manager supposedly works under the oversight of the city council and mayor.
They are actually the people responsible for whatever results, or lack of successes, he has over the years.
Of course, it's not possible to provide oversight about activities and issues that you don't bother to actually learn anything about.
Just like the Police Board, even though the KCPD is funded through the council.
    Municipal government is boring.
Playing real estate developer, out-of-town conferences, shoveling money out the door to supporters, campaign contributors, and friends, and pandering are all fun.
    It never changes.

  5. What kind of city officials gives away new infrastructure and millions for new developments while allowing the infrastructure underneath City Hall and Jackson County Bldg in downtown Kansas City to crumble and burst. The businesses the City are trying to attract to KC will never come as long as they see horrific potholes on every street in this town and orange cones perpetually standing oftentimes causing drivers to have accidents as they try to dodge them.

  6. hey, 6:54, Funk is who put Schulte in place as city manager. A huge mistake that we pay for every day. Schulte is the problem, it doesn't matter who is in the mayor's office--the manager has the power.

  8. City hall has no shame. They always know what is best for the plebes. Just ask them.

  9. 7:12 do you remember why he put Schultz in charge? The whole reason he ran to become mayor was so he could fire the guy who fired him, when Barnes was mayor she had a black guy as city manager and funk wouldn’t help Barnes with power to the white district so she had him fire funk. I’m trying but I can’t remember what the guys name was.

  10. Oh no! The roads still aren't plowed? What will we do???? I need to get out & get milk, bread, and toilet paper!

  11. Schulte said all of you should just stfu. He can sleep better and make more money in some other city if you don't like it.

  12. Trying to plow that inch of ice does not work - it will only rip up the roads. People need to slow down, take a little more time and learn to drive on the community and back streets that have the packed snow/ice.

  13. It's really beyond me what these people think dragging a plow over this will do?

  18. This is the same Kansas City that votes for everything that the Mayor and city council puts on the ballot. Why would they think they actually have to provide any city services.

  19. Sometimes you just can't believe what you read, mr. Hernandez or AKA gopher Kansas City actually is blaming the shade from the trees? In the middle of winter he's blaming the shade from the trees? Just by that remark shows you they are not taking this serious! I guess it's all those damn Leafs on all them trees creating shade LOL

  20. FIRE THE CITY MANAGER! IT IS JUST THAT SIMPLE!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. ^^or get this...stop complaining. It's ice. It can't be plowed. It doesn't make fiscal sense to salt every residential street in the city. Grow up children. The adults in the room already know this and don't complain. The mongoloids among us are bleating like the goats they are.

  22. If you don't like the way the City runs, blame the Republicans!

They're the ones who set up this "Weak Mayor, City Manager" form of Municipal Government in 1925 "to eliminate corruption in City Hall".

They're also the ones who took control of the Police Department out of City hands for the same reason at about the same time.

And of course, like everything the GOP does, it worked so well!
