Kansas City Hipsters Save Troost?!?!

Actually, this is a good faith effort of a small local biz working to not only cross a Kansas City dividing line but also inspire more inner-city investment. It's rare locals put their money where their mouth is on this topic so this coffee place deserves respect even if their efforts might find surprising opposition from East side residents as well as low-key middle-class skepticism . . . Then again, nobody ever said doing the right thing was easy:

Blip Roasters Has a New Spot at 30th and Troost

Davis bet on the West Bottoms four years ago when he opened the first location of Blip Roasters. He saw the opportunity to build community around a coffee shop. Now he's hoping to find similar success with the newly opened Blip Roasters Troost Avenue at 1106 E. 30th St.

  3. Troost is looking better than it has in years. Escpecially area a bit south of there, UMKC/rockhurst area. It’s a quiet comeback. Hopefully the city planners will leave it alone.
