This latest set of documents outlines a plan to foster healing, forgiveness and a future for this local faith community that still confronts the legacy of abuse and harm against younger met with silence . . . Here's their plan to continue efforts to make things right:
Shared Vision for Our Diocese
KANSAS CITY - The Vision statement for the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph is here. Remember the listening sessions held throughout this diocese in July, and the updates on the progress of the Visioning Team? After months of prayer, discernment and discussion, it has all come together in the statement: One Family: Restored in Christ - Equipped for Mission.
I wish them luck, but hope that they realize that the first pedophile that gets transferred in to the Diocese as part of a cover-up will wipe out all their efforts.
ReplyDeleteI don’t see the Chuch having these problems in Europe or South America or anywhere but the United States. Maybe it isn’t a Catholic problem. Maybe the problem is our tolerance and encouragement of homosexuality
