  1. I feel bad for everybody involved but all that fat ass cop had to do was pull his cop car in front of the garage door and prevent him from leaving. Why was he standing in the neighbors yard with his gun drawn for so long before doing anything. He had too long to think about shooting some kid before doing anything. He already had it in his head that he was going to shoot that kid.

  2. The parents should have taken control of their kid themselves. Calling the cops indicates they thought the kid was too dangerous for them to handle. Cops are not therapists. Mixing a dangerous kid with armed police officers is a recipe for disaster.

  3. All that cop had to do is move aside from a vehicle that was no where near him going 2.5 mph. Instead, he put a kill shot in his head and sent the car careening out of control. That is why the case was settled. They didn't want discovery in court and they were going to lose anyway.

  4. 8:43 did you read the article? The parents weren't home and a friend who was interacting online with the kid called the cops because the kid was a threat to himself.

  5. Hey, 7:32, guess that magic crystal ball and those superhero capes all those OP popos usually count on were malfunctioning that day. Nobody knew an angsty teen was gonna rush outta the garage in that van, and not obey officers' shouts for him to stop.

So, how about John Albers would have sped away through neighborhoods and the very busy 135th Street shopping area, causing first responders to high-speed pursue? Then, it could have been Albers' parents and their insurance firm being sued for deaths, injuries, and property damages when their troubled teen crashes into persons and properties.

The OPPD safeguarded the public that day. Bad, and sad a life was lost. Bad, and sad an LEO is scapegoated and resigns.

  6. I didn’t rush out, at no point was he acting or driving erratically, this sucks for all involved but it should have been handled differently, hence the resignation.

One could only imagine what would have happened if this was a black. Man this would have gotten real ugly real fast.

  9. I watched the video, one thousand percent justified.

The I read the kid was adopted out of a Russian orphanage, which explains a lot.

  10. Hey 10:04
There is absolutely no way he would have made it to the 135th st shopping district. He wouldn’t have made ias far as Sunset Ridge (the elementary near is house. His house was on a tiny street deep within a quiet neighborhood. Looking at a map, why the heck didn’t they just block the road on either side of his house?

Pushing accountability with the police is 100% justified.
