TKC EXCLUSIVE FRIDAY FACT CHECK!!! POLLING PREVIEW REVEALS COUNCIL LADY JOLIE JUSTUS NO LONGER FRONT RUNNER FOR KANSAS CITY MAYOR!!!
The Kansas City Mayoral polling game is underway as consultant hacks attempt to sway local options by way of robo-call questions and focus group smear campaigns.
Now, given that local political coverage is mostly just a few newspaper hacks playing favorites, KCMO polling has been mostly an exercise in propaganda for the past 5 years and is mostly FAKE NEWS. So take all of the "data" with a grain of salt given that newsies now mostly reveal the numbers AFTER a contest is complete . . .Still, the polling we're talking about represents a concerted effort to deliver a message and therefore it's still worth a glimpse if only to better understand the rhetorical gambit.
And so, this tidbit still is worth a glimpse given that the opposition has gone to a great deal of trouble to make a former front runner look bad . . .
KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS HINT THAT NEW POLLING IN THE RACE FOR MAYOR IS BAD NEWS FOR THE LADY WHO COULD BECOME THE 1ST OPENLY LGBT HONCHO OF THIS COWTOWN!!!
Here's the word . . .
"I'll start with the good news. She has Midtown locked up and her popularity extends further into the corridor than we would have suspected, almost reaching the into the 6th District. But she's virtually unknown across the bridge and on the East side there is downright hostility toward her that radiates into the eastern corridor of her own district and among the most frequent voters in Northeast . . ."
Up to this point we suspect her hop-in-and-out of the contest was her biggest hurdle.
But here's what a quick look at the numbers tells insiders who then tell us . . .
THE STALLED NEW AIRPORT AND COSTS PASSED ON TO TAXPAYERS BY WAY OF BROKEN PROMISES HURTS JOLIE JUSTUS MORE THAN ANY OTHER CANDIDATE!!!
As chair of the airport committee, she absolutely owns the problem which has a greater downside than up now that the deal is grinding to a halt.
Another fun fact . . .
IN THE LATEST POLLING COUNCIL LADY JOLIE JUSTUS TAKES HEAT FOR CRIME MORE SO THAN COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM FAR MORE VIOLENT DISTRICTS!!!
Reality . . .
Midtown is pissed about increased burglaries, car crime and party district violence. This seems kind of unfair given that the 3rd District suffers far more murder than the 4th BUT her role in talking about crime over the past few years has put her on the front lines of this issue among those most likely to cast a ballot.
And so . . .
Over the course of 4 years at City Hall Council Lady Jolie transitioned from a mostly beloved legislator to an embattled politico with a municipal record that invites some tough questions.
To be fair, she still has many true believers supporting her who rank among the local elite along with a bevy journalists hack far more willing to push her candidacy than any other candidate in the name of a "progressive" allegiance.
And so, because Team Jolie knows these numbers and talking points are out there as well . . . They have relaunched her camapign video, cut out any mention of Jason Kander and hope that an upbeat violin track will help rebrand this former KCMO front runner . . .
Take a look:
You decide . . .
Don't let jolie off the hook for her hand in development subsidy and favors. She has spent a lot of time arguing for a whiskey business and has voted along with Sly for more tax breaks downtown.
ReplyDeleteShe has been Sly's right hand man and for that reason alone we should think really hard about her administration would be like. Just more corporate giveaways looks lie to me.
DeleteJolie is not a strong campaigner, always feel like that is overlooks. Her biggest win came from splitting a three way vote not talking about any of her ideas.
DeleteShe is KC's hillary. And THAT is why she will win.
ReplyDeleteNot a problem solver, a problem maker. Also a streetcar candidate.
DeleteJust
Say
NO
JOlie never really was a front runner. James & Kraske made that one up.
ReplyDeleteGlad there is some contradiction to that now.
Jolie Runs
ReplyDeleteJolie wins.
Sorry bitches.
Jolie's sexual identity is irrelevant. She should not be elected because she represents developers, streetcar constructors and other grifters instead of taxpayers.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, but she WILL be elected because it would be homophobic not to and being PC ranks higher than being logical now.
Delete^^^^ +100
ReplyDeleteFigures do not lie and liars do not figure.
ReplyDeleteCannot trust the polling the same as you cannot trust a politician.
Waiting for the guy to comment about how much pussy she licks.
ReplyDeleteGot deleted for saying the truth
DeleteMy only concern is that Jolie as a Mayor would cave in to the 18th and Vine/Jazz Museum group in the Council. The shifty 3rd District representatives who will grab all city funds they can as long as they are spent in their district. .
ReplyDeleteI will take her over most of the other candidates, however.
She's in it to win it, and takes the cake and eats the whole thing! What a big fat joke!
ReplyDeleteOk so first of all when a democrat talks about crime you need to ignore anything that comes out of their mouth. It’s all BS when it comes to safety and security.
ReplyDeleteAlso, black folk need to remember that brown is the new black. The democrats are pandering hard core to illegal and Latinos like they did to the black community pandering for votes. Votes = power. This is why you don’t listen to them when they open their mouths about stopping crime. It impacts this voter base by putting family members in prison.
kCMO and the airport issue is beyond embarrassing. This city council and mayor James are bleeding tax dollars. You know I am wondering where the hell all this tax revenue is coming from. I know the city squeezes the crap out of people, but there sure is a lot of corporate welfare going on. Seems like this town loves to spend millions on “studies” for projects only to have another study of the study.
Hey Quinton! Yo brotha, I hear vine needs more millions can you spare some more change? One thing you will never hear from a random person at a downtown bar in KC: “Yeah we decided to take our vacation to Kansas City because of the jazz district”.
That's just a faulty premise on losing black votes because safety measures put blacks in jail.
DeleteWho do you think shows up to the polls more often?
1. Aging minorities who are tired of the violence
2. Gangbangers
This isn't that difficult.
8:15 is dead on the money.
ReplyDeleteI don't give a damn about who she sleeps with and the idea, that ANYONE, much less, a tax and spend Progressive is going to crack down on violent blacks (Read - Kansas City out of control crime.) with initiatives like "Stop and Frisk" or hold East Side leader's feet to the fires of the criminality they obfuscate and excuse, is risible.
It won't make a damn who gets in, they will be a Democrat, tax and spend idiot like AOC, or Sharice "Punch Drunk" Davids, with their "Pen and Phone" economic policies that depend on Government money euchered out of tax paying "makers" and transfered to indolent, entitled, victim "takers" who are nothing more than a glorified, fuckin parasite excrescence on society's collective ass.
^^Too long, written bu a moron. Will not read.
ReplyDelete8:35 you aren’t the first to tell me I’m too long
ReplyDeleteNot a bit of substance in that ad, and it completely ignores the KCI fiasco that will take her down!!
ReplyDelete@8:36-No, I'm sure I'm not. Your daddy and your pervy uncles would've beaten me to it by decades. Right Chester?
ReplyDeleteWhere does Ja Rule stand on these issues?
ReplyDeleteThe Bitch From Branson.
ReplyDeleteIt is wrong to say that she is "Unknown across the Bridge".
ReplyDeleteOne in five of her Fourth District constituents lives "across the Bridge, a fact she seems totally unaware of.
Far more accurate to say she is DESPISED across the Bridge!
We need some better options for mayor. If we are stuck with only democrats they need to find another Charles wheeler. They say wheeler presided over the last and final golden age of Kansas City development.
ReplyDeleteAlso, with sprint being taken over by T-Mobile soon...what will the sprint center be called? Keep quinton Lucas away from that question because you know what he will want to do.
^^Great cutting edge insight here. I mean this is just some top-shelf analysis here. Bravo old chap...Bravo!
ReplyDelete9:00 when can we go out on a date? I would love to go out with a man with so much positive energy who has the answers for the worlds problems, you make so much sense with your posts it turns me on soooooooo much! Please please please, I’m about to burst!
ReplyDeleteNot a one of those actively running for Mayor should be elected to office. Including JJ the money hand out Queen!
ReplyDeleteJolie eats a lot of...
ReplyDeletepussy.
Delete8:35am is exactly right, of course.
ReplyDeleteDon't pay any attention to all the campaign ads and promises and no need to waste your time going to the endless empty "forums".
Just look at the record.
Most of the mayoral candidates have been involved in the endless fiascos that have bled KCMO taxpayers dry the last four years.
Voters would actually be better off voting for someone who hasn't been involved in KC "government". At least there might be a chance that they be interested in municipal government and competent.
The current crop's performance makes the answer to those questions abundantly clear.
City government really doesn't lend itself to a partisan political approach, but in KCMO, when mayor and council positions are looked at as just steps in a Democratic Party political career, the residents and taxpayers continued to get royally screwed.
Embarrassing.
I am heartsick at the shenanigans these failures are all positing!
ReplyDeleteScrew them, I'm voting for Clay Chastain, if for no other reason than to watch Kraske and the rest of the Star's "experts" melt down!
Join me and we can watch the circle jerks on "Ruckus" foam at the mouth as well! Picture the fun we'd all have for at least four years!
CHASTAIN FOR MAYOR!
Truth is he probably has more genuine interest in KC than any of his opponents. He definitely fights for what he believes in.
DeleteThe problem nowadays in KCMO is the voter base is so backwards and unhinged that only a democrat can win the mayor. You could tell these voters they are going to be forced to take on homeless in their residence and pay taxes on them. All you have to do is tell them you support “the arts” and stupid hope and change stories they will be your zombies.
ReplyDelete^^^^^Fact
ReplyDeleteThere's literally no good mayoral candidate so I don't care who wins
ReplyDeleteHey 8:53, how about the MLK Center?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely anybody but Jolie Justus!!!
ReplyDeleteanyone but her
ReplyDeleteAnd once again the 85% of metro residents who DON'T live in KCMO congratulate themselves on their decisions and choice.
ReplyDeleteAnd, if you're also fortunate enough not to work in the "big city" and thus avoid the e-tax, watching all this unfold is like getting free tickets for you and your family to a third-rate circus.
Oh wait!
Here comes the clown car!
Again.
Thank goodness. Tony it's great to see that you're back on Team Lucas! This bash job also shows you agree that Jolie is in the running for his main challenger. (It's still safe to assume that the white guys divy up the other votes to fall in 3-5 right?)
ReplyDeleteLucas
Jolie
White dude 1
White dude 2
White dude 3
How many are there?
Not hard to see why
Vegas favors Lucas.
What has she done besides looting taxpayers and blowing off anyone who's not in lockstep with Sly James pillaging.
ReplyDeleteSteve Miller is the obvious choice for mayor of KCMO.
ReplyDeleteJolie is like BLVD, C Elbow, and Rotisserie Coffee, always gets free positive press.
ReplyDeleteRemember the OPUS project at Broadway and Westport. Jolie voted to change the Midtown Plaza Area Plan to support the monstrosity being built. She did not support midtown neighborhoods!
ReplyDeleteI will vote for JOLIE. Because she wears a great pantsuit!
ReplyDeleteSo nice. So, so nice.
If any of these candidates want my vote, it's real simple. They just need to say, "I will find a new city manager. Troy Schulte will be out of the job when I'm mayor."
ReplyDeleteThat's where you start with progress.
