TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KCPD EARN MORE CASH FOR FULL-TIME DWI UNIT DESPITE MISSOURI CHECKPOINT CUTBACKS!!!
There's a political element to the fight for control of Kansas City streets on the weekends and late nights.
To wit . . .
KCPD STEP UP THEIR DWI CRACKDOWN GAME WITH RECENT CASH GRANTS!!!
Legislative proof of the check in the mail . . .
Ordinance #190055: Estimating revenue and appropriating $180,273.00 in the Police Grants Fund for the DWI Full Time Unit; and designating requisitioning authority.
Po-po want to play down this effort because state lawmakers have recently cut the purse strings of heavy handed DWI enforcement.
Remember that last year the Missouri House stripped funding for DUI checkpoints in move that many hardline Conservatives backed along with liberty minded locals and progressive opponents of law enforcement crackdowns. Fact is, mobile phone tech pretty much destroyed the effectiveness of checkpoints.
Nevertheless, the effort to closely monitor late night drivers is still a fact of life in both KCMO and all of the surrounding suburbs -- This money boost is one of many legislative efforts that proves as much.
Developing . . .
It's on the spot taxation not public safety.
ReplyDeleteI think Sly wants to give that money to his developer friends.
ReplyDeleteIt would be funny if the caught drunken Quinton Lucas right here in town.
ReplyDelete^^^ Ouch. sick burn. Looks like Q has more enemies than he realizes in KC. And he doesn't really live here, just like Clay.
DeleteSo this is another excuse for the cops to try and pick up hot chicks in Westport than then start a fight with anybody who looks at them funny. Good stuff. Well deserving of government money.
ReplyDelete^^^^ Sorry your girlfriend would rather date a cop than your puny ass.
ReplyDeleteCheckpoints are outdated. Glad the KCPD using a different strategy.
ReplyDeleteDrunk driving is outdated, dipshit.
Delete^^^^ Actually, have to agree there. With all the apps like uber, lift and even poor old z-trip. There's no excuse to be drunk behind the wheel.
ReplyDeleteThis is just easy overtime money, that’s it, and that won’t last long with these guys making $80 and hour on overtime
ReplyDelete@11:40 Please tell this to Quinton.
