T-Mobile CEO, execs stay at Trump hotel while lobbying Trump administration

T-Mobile's CEO and other executives have repeatedly stayed at President Trump's hotel in Washington, DC while lobbying the Trump administration for approval of T-Mobile's proposed acquisition of Sprint, according to a Washington Post story published today. The Post's investigation is titled, "T-Mobile announced a merger needing Trump administration approval.

  3. How about the fact that Russian-based Corporations have being paying for long-term rentals on suites at the Trump Hotel that have not been occupied since before the Inauguration. And some suites have been "rented" by six or seven different entities, all paying full price?

    Breaking the law is the only thing Trump really accomplished on Day One. It's gone on so long because the GOP Congress ignored their constitutionally required duties of oversight.

    The US Inspector General has a report about the improper hotel use.

    The state of Maryland and District of Columbia have brought court cases and there is a pending suit in Federal court.

    Additionally there are the following examples.

    In January and February 2017, a lobbying firm working for Saudi Arabia paid for rooms at Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., payments that were funded by the Saudi government. [Politico, Feb. 9, 2017]

    On February 25, 2017, the Embassy of Kuwait held its National Day Celebration at Trump’s Washington, D.C. hotel. The estimated price of the celebration was between $40,000 and $60,000. [Reuters, Feb. 27, 2017]

    Foreign-Owned Entities Paying for Space in Trump Tower
    The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, which is owned by China. [Bloomberg, Nov. 28, 2016]

    Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, which is owned by the United Arab Emirates. [Politico, Jun. 6, 2017]

  7. It's funny that the Clinton Foundation, which is an independent charitable foundation with publicly filed financials statements, is called a rampantly corrupt criminal organization.

    But foreign payments directly to Trump's private company, which files no public disclosures, is somehow perfectly OK.
