Show-Me Powerless Kansas City Losing Missouri Bridge Repair Agenda

Rather than blame the new, well-liked, Missouri Guv . . . It might be more appropriate to question so many State Reps, Senators and lobbyists who have FAILED TO BRING HOME THE BACON FOR KANSAS CITY . . . Instead, the newspaper plays the partisan blame game:

Missouri Gov. Parson plans to fix 250 bridges; zero in KC | The Kansas City Star

Gov. Mike Parson has proposed borrowing $351 million to repair or replace 250 bridges in Missouri. None of those bridges is in Kansas City, and our local lawmakers must demand a thorough review.

Comments

  1. The failed Star states "Local lawmakers should demand a thorough review of the project list."
The failed Star should be asking for a thorough review, by the state auditor, of the proposed airport process.

  3. 75% of MO road tax revenue is generated in metro KC/StL, but only 40% gets spent in metro areas!!! Think about that when you don’t vote, and rural folks do!!

  5. Where is cleaver? The man is an empty moustache. Broke ass KC needs federal checks but we have the least effective congressman in congress (or one of the least). Say what you will About sly but he would be bettter at lining up federal checks for KC than cleaver is.

Re broadway bridge, a toll would be easiest and fairest funding solution....

    Thanks,

  6. Oh good grief. Rural communities don’t screw their residents with earnings taxes and massive TIFs. They need the bridge work more than kc. Hey....who cares about the buck O’Neil bridge when you have a massive “arts and culture” budget, right?

  8. The KC Council obviously has not respect or any type of working relationship in Jefferson City. This is a failure of City leadership.
