Show-Me Agenda For Missouri

Again, we have to give credit where it's due to Guv Parson . . . His plans are practical and might make a direct impact on the lives of constituents throughout the state if he's successful and while so many other politicos wage culture war. Checkit:

Bridge repair tops Missouri governor's budget plan, along with money for schools

JEFFERSON CITY * In his first State of the State address, Gov. Mike Parson proposed on Wednesday raises for state workers, a new bonding scheme to fix scores of bridges, $61 million in new money for K-12 education and no change in funding for higher education.

An elected official who actually prioritizes focusing and spending taxpayer money on basic state responsibilities like infrastructure and education?
Shocking!
Maybe at least some of the KCMO mayoral candidates will take the hint.

^^^^ Or maybe, you'll find something else to complain about as this shtick is played out.

Well there is plenty to complain about with KC it you can't see that then you are stupid.

I agree maybe the new KC mayor will stop robbing its citizens for big business, and work for the people. Somehow I doubt it though, the liberals in KC can't see past the ring in their nose that they are led around by.

Where do I get my Clay Chastain yard sign?

After so many years of bait and switch, few voters trusted the state to spend the increased gas tax on needed road repairs, so they voted against it. Too often specific purpose tax revenue has been diverted to fund legislators' pet projects and activist pipe dreams. I'd vote for a road maintenance tax increase only if the funds were held strictly in trust for that purpose.

Don't want this because that would hurt our ability to build cheap luxury apartments, new (cheap not energy efficient) office buildings, and streetcar extensions.

Stick to the core brand proposition
