Fact is, illegal Mexican and South American immigrants along with a few Somali healthcare workers are the only people who would want to live in NOWHERESVILLE, KANSAS . . . Despite all of the bluster of keyboard warriors and talk show hacks. Most decent people in Kansas welcome the influx of new friends who are much better than having their towns abandoned and eventually closed.

Locally produced film examines acceptance of diversity, immigration in Garden City

When it comes to immigration, Lawrence filmmaker Steve Lerner said he finds the national debate has generally become polarized, rage-filled and uncivil. But in Garden City, a small town in a generally conservative area of southwest Kansas, the residents seem to have a different view, he said.

There is more truth to this story than is being made. But as well it isn't showing that some of the reason is due to the lower paying jobs at companies (Tyson Fresh Meats) that have move to these areas because they know the people who will work the jobs will follow. The you have the helpers needed more in agriculture related jobs also well known for being low paid and farmers in Kansas are protected by low from having to pay over time.

You can always trust a filmmaker to not know what the fuck is really going on.

Hilarious how LJ World left out the crime statistics. Garden City now has gangs. it used to be a farming an oil town and now it has agricultural processing plants filled with Somali and Vietnamese. Yeah...real great. Parents come there for work and the kids grow up getting in trouble.

Shortly after Trump's inauguration a map of sanctuary cities came out and Finney County was on it. A couple of months later Finney County was no longer on the list of sanctuary cities. You think someone at Tyson called Brownback who called someone in DC and got them off the list of sanctuary cities? Damn right they did. What political persuasion do you suppose huge companies like Tyson Foods are? I'm betting Republican. For decades conservative border states have let illegal immigrants in by the millions to work for wealthy Republican business owners, California when Reagan was governor included. Pubs like to think there wasn't a single illegal here until the day Obama became president but that's bullshit. Illegal immigration is a problem wholly created by Pubs and would end today if conservative business owners didn't hire them for cheap labor. Instead all the rubes believe the half-black guy started and perpetuated it. You fucks are mindless cult-followers that believe anything Fox tells you.

Man are you ever out of fucking touch with reality or how things are done. Republicans are not the sole hirers of illegal immigrants.

That must be because a Dollar General store moved in.
