KC Scumbag Reminder: Bring Pets Inside

No idea what kind of jerk would leave an animal outside in this weather but it happens . . . In addition to all the HOMELESS PEOPLE on local streets today. Here's a local kindness update:

If you won't bring them inside, sleep outdoors with them!

My dog can come and goes as he pleases using his doggy door from a warm and cozy basement. So if he stays outside a lot and I mean a lot which he does all on his own don't be giving me any crap over it. I got up this morning and he was curled up under the patio table asleep on the cold concrete. A lot of dogs are better able to deal with cold weather than we give them credit for. Farm dogs have survived for years sleeping in cold barns in states north of here where it really gets cold and stays such all winter.

I cant stand dirt bag dog owners who keep their dogs chained up outside in these kinds of temps in some no grass dirt bag yard and a trashed up dog house.

I’ve seen this time and time again: they see a dog. They get all emotional and “want” one themselves (like a form of “impulse buying”). They find one. They take it home. It’s fun for a few days or a couple of weeks. Then they get bored with it. Then when it comes time for actual taking care of it, including expensive and unpleasant things like vet visits, cleaning up after it, and illnesses etc, it gets “tossed out in the back yard with the rest of the junk.” Because “I don’t have the time or the money to deal with it.”

I’ve seen this kind of repulsive behavior from family, neighbors, friends.....many times.
