Kansas GOP Legislature, Democratic governor ready to rumble on K-12 school aid
Gov.-elect Laura Kelly and the revamped Kansas Legislature are preparing for another colorful rendition of school house rock.When the session begins next Monday, a Democratic governor and the Republican-controlled House and Senate will answer the Kansas Supreme Court's call for an inflation adjustment to state aid to K-12 schools.

Lots of newcomers in country have kids in school living in apartments.. not paying a dime for school.
Fake inflated home evaluations to cover short fall from homeowners generate billions...
folks pay tax when mortgages filed with register of deeds... where is this money...
folks paying for community college big money always building new shacks.. charging big $$$ for credit hours.. folks that have no kiddies especially oldsters should not be forced to pay for this.
this must and will be stopped..
The only fair and proper way to fund education is to reject all Federal and state allocations and allow the local districts to set their own budgets 100 percent off their own tax base.
ReplyDeleteThat way if Blue valley and Shawnee Mission want to build Billion dollar football stadiums and new ponies for the polo team they can do it off their own voter's tax base instead of everyone else's. Rural schools, who don't want to consolidate with the next door district because Possum Holler USD 666 cheated when they beat them in the 1947 State Football championship and they're still butt-hurt over it they can pay their own way, too.
