Kansas City Question: Do You Support Prez Trump Dreamer Compromise?!?!?

For those blessed news junkies sharing their Saturday night with us . . . Let's start with how TKC sees today's shut down announcement . . . .

Today, President Trump blinked. Fact is, his most strident supporters want neither compromise with the Democratic Party nor a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens brought to this country by their parents as children. That's the inherent problem with with a rabid fan base of political noobs - They don't understand that politics is all lies and big talk followed by inevitable, reasonable, anti-climactic compromise. What's worse is that the President has backed himself into a corner. He took responsibility for the shut down, proudly. And as this impasse goes on the economic damage worsens and there's no way for Prez Trump to move forward without losing just a bit of his MAGA street cred.

And we we're left with a life lesson: The friends and supporters of Prez Trump have proven to be his undoing, not his adversaries on the other side of the aisle.

SHOULD KANSAS CITY SUPPORT THE PREZ TRUMP DREAMER COMPROMISE?!?!?

  1. I support the Mueller NOTHINGBURGER. It's delicious.

  2. Not now. I wouldn’t do a single thing the Dims might approve of after their nonsense. The only reason most of them are against the wall is because Trump wants it. If Obammy had wanted it, it would have been the greatest idea ever.

  3. Trump shouldn’t compromise. All illegals out.

  4. Trump disgusts me beyond belief. He is despicable, and must be removed from office. THE USA DESERVES BETTER, AND THE POPULAR VOTE PROVES IT.

  5. @ 8:13 San Antonio doesn't want it either - even if your Lord and Master says "the Wall" at San Antonio is "a great success and has cut down the crime rate greatly".

This statement is especially surprising since San Antonio has no wall, and is 150 miles from the Mexican Border!

Hopefully, before Trump gets any money to spend keeping his cultists happy, somebody will point out the 632 miles of Wall and Fence barrier already built by Bush 2 and Obama, the 112 more miles started under Obama and about to be completed, the 820 miles of mountains and Rivers that can't be "walled", and the remaining 450 miles of border that are privately owned and that he would have to seize from US Citizens.

They might also remind him of the $1.3 billion in unspent funds from the last two Budgets that he has available for "wall building" right now.

    1. I don’t support the wall just because my so-called “Lord and Master” does; I would still support it if it were the pet cause of Hymie Schumer and Nanny P. Lousy. Would it be 100% effective? Probably not. But it would be better than what we have now. As for $5 billion, Congress could approve that much in foreign aid (and much more) and Dims would think it was money well spent.

  8. The democrats are over-playing their hand on this one. The partial shutdown is about nothing but gaining enough public support to tar the opposition.

This move won't move the dial on the hard-core left and right partisans; it will move the dial on independents. Most of them (even the really stupid ones) know that there's not a single Congress critter who ever cared about a paltry (by federal budget standards) $5 billion.

Trump offered some semblance of a compromise, which is what independents want. By immediately shooting it down, the democrats made it look like they're only digging in because they hate Trump.

By the end of the week, blame for the shutdown will be 50/50 between Trump and the dems

  9. Cult45 members: find me a single congressional member whose district is along the "boarder" (sic, that is moron Trump's way of spelling it) that wants the wall. Cite your source. Good luck.

  10. Maybe if Trump had offered a permanent solution to DACA the Dems may have taken him up on it, but as it is, a three-year extension in return for a permanent Trump monument? I don't think so.

10:17: Calling names is a tad childish, don't you think?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Nope.

No matter what label you put on them, "Dreamers" are illegal and must be permanently deported.

Build the wall, deport every illegal and start treating Mexico and their cartels like a foreign enemy invader.

  12. The liberal squeaky wheel is so loud Trump was forced to throw some oil on them. We really need to support that man, he is only true citizen in Washington serving in an elected office. Wake up everyone before it's too late.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Depends on how "dreamer" is defined and what proof is required of people claiming to be one.

  14. 11:00 "Only true citizen?" The only one? Really?

Yes. It is a reasonable compromise.

  19. The offer was fucking lame. "Hey guys, we'll kick the can three years down the road on DACA, how's that sound." Smart people see thru this BS offer and what the President is trying to do.

Listened to a podcast last week with Will Hurd - his district covers 800 miles of border between Texas and Mexico. He favors HR and technology and getting to the root cause of immigration today - the countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Ever wonder why an immigrant would trek across the desert away from home, with children in tow? Maybe the US should be looking at solutions in those three countries. We created the mess and the problem has shown up at our doorstep.
