  2. Of course it's expensive, Overland Park, hello.
Not everyone pays the same price, no shit captain obvious. Shop around for best price.
For $400 people could by a generator and good extension cord and never be without power again.
People aren't very smart. And KCTV must be desperate for stories.

  3. A generator only runs about 3 outlets. Spend 10 grand to run your whole house.

    1. Three outlets are enough if they are for your fridge your furnace and critical lights. Like I was saying. People aren't very smart. During the last ice storm I ran all three and deep freeze with a 2000 watt generator. If we ever have a real crisis........

  5. Homeowners' insurance pays for emergency lodging, transportation and food if those necessities were sufficiently adversely impacted by storms. You know, AFTER deductibles, usually, for most policy's coverages. So, iphones, smokes, purple drank, and all that other boosheet spending bites when emergency funds aren't saved.

    2. Oh Lord. You’ll have Dyqueesha down at The Raphael waving her insurance card from The General and wanting a single room for herself, her five kids, her grandmama and her auntie.

  7. And while you're out staying at a hotel, someone is breaking into your house.

  8. I remember growing up losing power in a snowstorm and I had cut enough firewood to keep a 24-7 fire going in the fireplace for days. Some of you will completely lose it or die off in future hard times.

  9. Snowflakes melting during the snowstorm. Part of the joy of having trees is keeping them trimmed off the power lines. Can't do that because we have to pay for Chiefs season and playoff tickets.

  10. Damn, why aren't hotels free?
