Fire crew rescues teen driver after SUV goes into Brush Creek

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Crews with the Kansas City Fire Department had to rescues a driver midday Friday after the teen's SUV went into Brush Creek. According to officers with the Kansas City Police Department, the 19-year-old woman had a medical condition that caused her to lose control of her vehicle, sending it off Blue Parkway and into the water.

Federal prosecutors have charged an Arkansas man with smuggling heroin and methamphetamine on an Amtrak train that stopped in Kansas City. He hid the heroin in a pair of shoes that were size 18, court documents say.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Police Department has increased patrols in the northland after an elementary school-age student was approached by a man and woman in a car Thursday afternoon. The Park Hill School District notified parents Friday of the incident, which involved a student from Tiffany Ridge Elementary School near NW Old Tiffany Springs Road and NW Green Hills Road in the Northland.

4 arrested in Clay County drug bust

CLAY COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -- Four were arrested Wednesday afternoon after the Clay County Section of the Missouri Western Interdiction and Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant. The warrant was issued in Kansas City. Methamphetamine, prescription narcotics, and firearms were among the items discovered during the investigation.

    The cause of the fire is unknown? GD KCTV5 do you ever try and get the real story about anything? Two idiots were using a spray paint gun in the basement and the fumes flashed over from the hot water heater or furnace.

    KCTV5 couldn't put out a factual story if their lives depended on it. But man can they ever spread the BS around.
