Kansas City Federal Workers Desperately Waiting For Back Pay After Shut Down

In the end, every show-down is anti-climactic and what's really important is that money owed to federal workers and the big party locals might have when the check arrives.

Here are a few more serious stories about the local impact of the shut down whilst neither the Prez Trump capitulation nor the Nancy Pelosi victory is really important to people worried about paying their bills. Checkit:

Shutdown deal brings relief for federal employees in KC area

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After weeks filled with stress and frustration, families of furloughed federal workers in the metro breathed a sigh of relief on Friday following a short-term deal to end the government shutdown. The shutdown lasted 35 days in total and meant weeks without a paycheck for thousands of federal workers in the region.

  4. They are such crybabies, they will get all of their back pay, suck it up and save for times like this. Not one of them could ever make it in the private sector. They are all part of an unneeded bloated beuracracy. , Shrink government, add term limits - PROBLEM SOLVED!

What's funny here is they are federal workers who have proven time and time again just how slow they can be about getting things done.

Interesting in how when it's them on the other side of the coin they want it right now and not later.

Let them stew in their own juices a little and see how the rest of us have to deal and suffer with a slow moving government process.

  6. If you watch the week in review the cleave said he would not give up his paycheck during the shutdown because “it would put him in a bad place”. He makes $176,000 a year and the common fed worker makes $40,000, who was really in a bad place here and guess who the cleave did anything for, himself and nobody else. Remember this come voting time people. They need to make a meme or gif or whatever you call it and play it on tv once an hour for the entire amount of days the shutdown occurred so people will learn how worthless he truly is.

  7. I guess the "saving for a rainy day" thing never occurred to federal workers.

This looks exactly like a "rainy day" to me. Little sympathy here, as they will receive all back pay after the rain stops.

    F--k em!

  8. Great grandma Pelosi has lost it.
She is closer to 100 years old than 60.
She is closer to 90 than 70.
    She is awful.

  9. People who have commented about the "crybabies" saving for a rainy day have no heart, no empathy, and no understanding of what it's like to scrap by. I'm not excusing people who blow their pay on non-essentials, but unless you know for a fact how their money is spent, STFU.

Trump pledged as a candidate in 2016 to not accept the $400,000 annual presidential salary he would be due if elected. By law, he must be paid so Trump has donated the quarterly payments to various federal departments and agencies. The departments of Education, Health and Human Services, Transportation and Veterans Affairs, among others, have accepted Trump's donations. President Donald Trump has donated his salary from the third-quarter of 2018 to the federal agency that researches alcoholism and alcohol-related problems.
