KANSAS CITY CHIEFS DEFEATED BY PATRIOTS 37-31: RITUAL HYPE ENDS IN 'ONE AND DONE' TRAIL OF TEARS!!! NATCH.

Once again another season of irrational exuberance ends in typical disappointment for the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here's the argument . . .

Basically this season was "one and done" in the playoffs because the team played a single great game against the Colts and then they were finished with their competitive play for the season. Reality: In the final overtime drive the Kansas City Chiefs were clearly out of their league and incapable of competing against a world-class quarterback like Tom Brady.

Fanboys might argue that this time it was different because the game was closer. The malcontents might even blame the refs despite so many sketchy calls in favor of the home team as well. Fact is, the defeat was decisive.

Worst of all . . .

TKC WARNING: HYPE ABOUT NEXT SEASON IS NOTHING MORE THAN CORPORATE PROPAGANDA TARGETING RUBES!!!

We don't want to play the spoiler or the bad guy . . . Football is fun and a great pastime. However, there is never a moment of respite from the quest to separate fools from their money. Noobs might mistake our blog community skepticism for negativity but HERE AT TKC WE ARE INITIATED and simply want to share a tiny flicker of sagacity to light the way for gentle readers in the darkness of the cold winter night whilst the forces of corruption and greed beset the denizens of our smallish river city.

Also, once gain, it turned out that so many fanboys, talkers and so-called experts extolling the virtues of a newbie quarterback as some kind of savior were simply practicing demagoguery on a desperate public. The only thing this hype really accomplished was to earn a big ketchup contract for an eager rookie.

And so we conclude with a quick collection of sports news links on tonight's game. We'll be looking for great quotes to highlight for the morning update given that football chatter continually hijacks the local discourse.

    1. Just won $200 betting against the Chiefs. I am from KC and I love the team. They are very predictable.

    2. Does it still count as a Missouri victory if the Rams beat the Patriots. That's what I'd like to see happen.

    3. This year Tom Brady, last season Peyton Manning. It's always a great qb who comes into town in order to beat the Chiefs. Like clockwork actually. Today was no different.

  2. WTF is wrong with the people on this blog? That was an AMAZING GAME and you should count yourself lucky that you live in a city that has such a commitment to top caliber football. If you are disappointed in this game then you are just being difficult. The Chiefs are now one of the best teams in the leauge and that is no small acomplishment. It's one of the best things about living in this city. I say it again on this blog so that people don't get the impression that KC hates its team.

    GO CHIEFS!

Proud to call myself a fan and proud of the team this year.

What is wrong with everyone on this blog? We should all be proud fans of the kneeling ass holes and everyone who was out today with their chiefs shirts and their chiefs pajama pants on. Now I'm going to go home and beat anyone who gets in my way, because I'm Angela K.

  7. Fuck the Chiefs and FUCK the NFL.

The Progressive ESPN Narrative permeates the air waves, 24/7.

It's a company that hates you White Boy.

At this point, anyone, who watches professional sports and sports a white skin (YOU MISERABLE RACIST FUK!!!!!) is engaging in a self destructive, suicidal, "Hate My White Family And Want My White Children To Die In The Not Too Distant Future" fantasy.

ESPN and Professional sports, seen on the "Telly" is a disgusting, incessant, metronomic, repetition of Progressive agitprop.

    Clark Hunt hates KC.

He doesn't live here and he, like other owners - got on their knees when the players got on their knees to say, I HATE YOU WHITE AMERICA!!!!!

Talk all the shit you want. Pretend and tell your friends that it wasn't about hating white people.

    Go fuck your self cocksucker.

    I'm totally ok with it.

    I hate you motherfuckers too.

Fuck the Chiefs, and, I hate you motherfuckers too.

Hat tip to the only honest man left in America- Louis Farrakhan!

    God bless him!

Oh if someone only had the time to answer THAT one.

  9. For us lifelong residents we have not seen a Super Bowl caliber team in this town since 1970. That was 48 years ago and 4th in the rankings of years to not be in a Super Bowl. Only the Jets, Browns and Lions suck worse than we do. Another choke and puke end of season from a team that many of us have grown to expect exactly these results from. Now maybe folks will get their heads out of the clouds and get on with what's important in life while hopefully having not trashed the family budget too much buying overpriced tickets and clothing.

  15. Louis Farrakhan always tells the truth, as he sees it.

I am totally cook with him telling me and other white people and Jews that he HATES us/me.

    God Bless him.

It's refreshing, like stepping into the sun, through an Oculus in a building where you can't see the exits.

If I have ever loved an enemy, it is sure as hell, Louis Farrakhan.

That stolid, incessant, insistence, in your face accusations, at least, give the world a starting point, a reference point, a talking point that his full of HATE.

    HATE is a good thing.

At some point, there will be the defeated, that will be bent to the will of the victors.

Me, the people I know, we are ok with the violence that comes and - we think, that this fight - this cultural violence (I know, at this point, we are getting beat senseless by Anti-Fa thugs, it looks bad---) are ready to bleed and die for implementation The Rule Of Law and a singe tiered Justice system.

We clean our guns. We clean our guns. We clean our guns.

    ReplyDelete
  16. ^^^ Chuck, this is about football not politics. You are obsessed and you keep on talking about guns like somebody is threatening you.

You're a white man in America. You won the lottery. If you aren't happy with your life, you have nobody to blame but yourself. I think you're clever as hell but your writing acts as if somebody is attacking you. Look at the voting results and you'll find that most people agree with you and vote that way. Yet you still seem angry. Chill dude.

  17. I give credit where credit is due.Everyones hollering "defense" and I say IF the Chiefs had an offensive line this poor kid wouldn't have had to go into OT. Maybe turn that "only" interception into a TD instead of complaining the "defense" couldn't stop Brady "drive" in OT. Mahomes is good enough he could probably play just about anywhere. Hopefully the Raiders pick him up after next season.

  19. I knew before game time that the Chef's were going to lose when I heard Mitch Holtus doing a spot for season ticket holders and those who wanted to be to get on line right now and buy them today before the game. That telegraphed that the team would not beat New England today. Demand for season tickets will be hard to push now.
49 years of continuous disappointment. "But just wait until next year!"
    Same ol, same ol.

  21. Yep. Hint: Had his black & white jacket on for post game Q&A. No Chiefs branding or colors worn, just a white Adidas logo on a black warm-up style jacket, or hoodie, or, wuchamahcallit. Hmmmmmm.... .

  22. Can't say Ford was the total problem. Total defense didn't get Brady off the field. Time of possession was 2:1 versus Chiefs. So bigger problems than one penalty on Ford. The problem isn't on the field it's the coordinator. If you want the Offense to win you the game they have to at least play equal minutes to Patriots. New England shut down Tyreek by doubling on him 90% of the plays and he is the second best weapon this team had. Holmes is one guy, only 23 years old, and you can not expect him to carry 52 guys on his back all season long. He is phenomenal and Chiefs are lucky to have him. Maybe they should bring back Alex Smith to work with him next year as a coach, he would keep the kid grounded really well.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If ford didn’t have a freakin total brain fart on that play with the interception we run the clock out and win the game so........

31st best defense in the land baby! Hahahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Maybe the Chiefs shouldn't have run Marcus Peters out of town for knelling.

He's going to the Super Bowl for a team that decided good a cornerback might be a defensive difference maker while the Chiefs decided image was more important than winning and get to watch him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. This was a great season! It was fun to watch, and we went farther than we have in a damn long time!! Next year will be promising as long as Bob Sutton gets fired! guess we will just have to see. Defense sucked all season until the last 2 games - Time to move on Bob!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh, now Tony is trying to redefine "one and done" for us? That's idiotic. Like trying to close the slave shack door after the negroes have escaoed.

    C'mon. We're not that dumb.

Except for chuck...I don't know what's up his ass tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 10:45 If they had won were you expecting to get all your money back you dumb moron! Its obvious you are pissed because you spent money you didnt have going to a game or games that the Chiefs didnt win!! We lost this game but those of us who support our local team for us this season was a win, and look forward to next season. Grow up you pathetic whiney ass bitch!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. 10:53 - so are you saying that if we would have won tonight and moved on the the Superbowl and won that game that anyone who buys Chiefs gear or buys tickets would have would have felt paid back? Are fucking kidding me here? you are some dumb MF's on here!!! You are only pissed because you spent money you didnt have on something you had no control over - Grow up bitch!!

  29. The Chiefs took 20 years to reach a league championship game so it will be another 20 years before they win one.

The important thing is how many women were beaten by their boyfriends, live ins, husbands, drunks, relatives, etc. after the Chiefs big loss.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bob Sutton is toast. And rightfully so.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 3:10 I didn't spend a dime on tickets or clothing either one. I sat back and watched several who couldn't afford to do so such in fact do it. I watched some close friends of mine spend several thousands of dollars this year. When your mother is in hospice and going to the game to tailgate and spend the day is more important than being with the family when she passes makes you rather pathetic in my book. It just came to light past few days about a couple with three kids who maxed out not one but two credit cards from getting all infected with this so called was to be Super Bowl team. When you're borrowing money and pushing off family to try and impress folks you're a so called fan of something you have lost touch with common sense reality.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Chiefs fans suck their own. Such a pathetic bunch. So sad!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Bunch of whiners. I'm sure they said the Royals would never win, too :-)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Going to Chiefs games isn't for those on a tight budget. One game a year maybe but to try and attend all the games is going to set you back for sure. I got sucked into all the hype myself a few years ago and first thing you know you've spent a rather large chunk of change. You can support your team and not bankrupt the family by staying home and watching on TV. That's what I do now and save that money for family vacations.

The roughing penalty for touching tom Brady's shoulder pad -while he had the football!!! - was total BS.

Who to root for in super bowl??? I kind of hate both teams ...

    Radish
