From the wrong side of the Show-Me State, this horrific story pulls up the curtain on gun among some 1st responders and reveals that a great deal of training didn't take for these law enforcement officials. Read more:
St. Louis officers were playing Russian Roulette when off-duty officer was shot, prosecutors say
ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Charges have been filed against a St. Louis police officer accused in the shooting death of an off-duty officer. Nathaniel Hendren is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action. Katlyn Alix, 24, was off-duty when she was shot inside an apartment in south St.
Somehow methinks there's a lot more to this story than what has been published so far.
ReplyDeleteProbably a lot of "sweeping under the rug" going on.
Appears the losers did the taxpayers a favor by eliminating a fellow loser. Losers have no business being po po's. Was anyone tested for drugs?
ReplyDeleteYep, 9:23. Hendren and the other officer are concocting this "roulette" boosheet to make it seem less outright "evil" that Alix is murdered. As though, she was a participant in the nutty, risky FUBAR folly. Hope the FBI,MBI,whoever, works these two crimmie cops over enough to get the truth.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Hendren and his partner were hot on Katlyn's tail.
ReplyDeleteProbably would.
ReplyDeleteThis an interesting story. Want to read the follow up on it.
Maybe they were playing "Polish Roulette" instead!
ReplyDeleteYou know: take all but one round out of a 1911's magazine, then...
I was a cop for decades with 25 years in management including lots of internal affairs investigations. This is a bullshit story if I ever heard one.
ReplyDelete@9:24, your comment assumes the version of events given by the shooter's partner is what happened. I'm going with the witness cop's story is actually a lame CYA (cover-your-ass) attempt. Bet he regrets the mess he's in. Shoulda stayed in his assigned area.
ReplyDeleteWomen shouldn't be cops.
ReplyDeleteMeter readers only.
LOL. Bang.
ReplyDeleteCan’t imagine this story being finished.
ReplyDeleteThen again Kim Gardner is the nincompoop looking at it.
Remember how she prosecuted Greitens and brought in her private eye detective that was laughed out of town?
What the fuck is wrong w St Louis?
When was the last time you saw a cop have a revolver as a duty weapon? Undoubtedly this was a love triangle gone bad and the weapon was one of the cop's throw down piece.
ReplyDelete^^^ yep, Apparently Alix was 'dating' Hendren. Kids, do not date your coworkers.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is she was dating BOTH guys. 1 cop went to the other's guys place looking for her. It was clear they had finished having sex. An argument happened. 1 guy shot at the other guy and she jumped in front of him to stop the bullet. But her bulletproof vest failed or she forgot she didnt have it on. And she died. Nobody uses a revolver anymore (its probably stolen anyway from the evidence room). And everyone knows that in "Russian R." one person is going to die. Thats 100% guaranteed. So it wasnt a game of Russiona R. Even so if you want to pretend it was a game of Russian R. the charge should be 2nd degree murder. This is why people do not respect cops.
ReplyDeleteIt's not fair to lump LEOs together and portray them as archtypes. There's bad apples in all professions. But, holding them to higher expectations while they're in service to the public, is fair.
ReplyDeleteIf this story is the best these two cops can come up with, st Louis clearly didn't hire the smartest cops.
ReplyDeleteGus nailed it. Something ain't adding up here.
ReplyDeleteAt least they didnt shoot an innocent citizen. They were a clear danger with their lack of gun knowledge. They probably played with guns at Subway, in McDonalds, in their cars, on the sidewalks etc. NEVER POINT A GUN AT ANYTHING YOU DO NOT INTEND TO SHOOT AND KILL. Most 3rd graders know that. She probably would have died due to the Darwin theory sooner rather than later. Cops are a needed evil in our society.
