  3. Amazes me that in 2019 people still leave their purse in their car at a public place like in a parking lot. Someone needs to leave some bait in a car and hide in the bushes so when these people come to break in they get shot. That’s the only way to handle the felony lane gang. Gun them down.

    1. You’d think Lenexa police looking for something to do would be setting up bait cars.

  5. Lenexa cops are fake cops. They are too chickenshit to be real cops. Barney Fife pussies.

  6. Lenexa has become a shithole just like Shawnee and Olathe and we all know why.

  8. Lenexa is the suburban getaway for pussies. Cops are pussies, residents are pussies.

  9. Same thing going on in Westwood, Fairway, Prairie Village and Old Leawood. Car break-ins, stolen cars, burglaries. A lot of these are crimes of opportunity (left a purse, wallet, cash, car keys, and garage opener in an unlocked car). With the amount of "help" in these areas (i.e. lawn companies, contractors, etc.) it's easy for these thieves to blend in during the day - just more out of state tag traffic. They are also going through these older neighborhoods at night (that have poor street lighting) looking for easy targets. Common theme for NE JoCo is these thieves are coming across the state line for a quick grab and go.

My idea - more cameras at major intersections entering neighborhoods, better street lights, and fining residents whose thefts are the result of unlocked cars. If the low hanging fruit was gone the thieves would look some place else.

    1. Good ideas. I also wish we could make NE JoCo a “sundown” area with a window decal for the cities that make up this area. If you are around residential areas after dark without a decal, you are subject to questioning.
