New Pix and a recent hype video reveal the inside of the new hotel looks plain and kinda dull despite $35-MILLION up front thanks to City Hall. 1. Seriously, who is staying downtown in hotels enough to support all this? Assuming there are 3,000 hotel rooms downtown...who the fuck is staying in them? I understand a convention every couple months, but there's gotta be like 200-250 days when there's jack shit going on. I'm not trolling...I'm sincerely asking. Who is staying in these places?

  2. ^^^ you’re right, nobody is staying in those hotels other than the occasional convention, I’d bet they remain at 80% empty for at least 3/4 of the the year. There’s certainly not enough business travelers to put a dent in the occupancy of all these hotels.

  3. Why ? There aren't enough hookers in town to support this. They all live by the airport.

  4. Hotel will drive up occupancy numbers by letting homeless stay in rooms between conventions. I'm sure the room doesn't compare to the bedrooms of the rich in Mission Hills, where servants wipe the asses of their masters.

  9. right 7:01 We all know there can be better balance with maintaining infrastructure and shitting out an over[riced debt ridden airport less capable of generating revenue. We all know there is a problem with planning bike lanes. You hate the P&L district, you hate black people, you hate the toy train. How else do you improve the city except by putting more black people in jail, building a cute little EIFS bungalow with a sidewalk next to your house, and serve you a bunch of frozen chicken fingers for dinner?

  10. what a damn shame. Looks like a low rent holiday inn. And you know most of the rooms won't even have a view of the lovely highway.

    Biggest ripoff of KC.
