Choreographer, coach deny saying student's skin 'too dark'

  1. As much as I dislike most public school teachers, I just can't believe this teacher said this. Maybe the girl is a sore loser and is using her race to get what she wants. No one in their right mind would say what she is accusing the teacher of saying because of discrimination.

  2. ^^Glad you dislike teachers. Nobody asked you though. So please go find a friend and tell them!

  3. It is very common in MANY try-out based high school activities that politics and favoritism are the norm. High school coaches have relationships predating high school (sometimes as paid coaches) with kids. High school coaches do extra "coaching" in off-season with select kids and form relationships. High school coaches have friends and family that go to their schools. Feelings are hurt and students and their families frequently drag administrators into disputes about "why isn't MY son on the varsity team"????? This is a story repeated dozens of times at each school every year.

The difference in this story is race. Clearly a one-sided story in the media at this point. The accused are being told to keep their mouths closed while litigation is pending. Supporters of the accused are not coming out for fear of being labeled racists. The article in 435 South certainly has a lot of strong accusations and portrays the district as fumbling through an uneven response. It doesn't bode well for the district/teacher that the student wasn't good enough to make their teams but did make it on a Division I university dance team.

    1. So what? It was Mizzou. Blue Valley Northwest has way hotter chicks than Mizzou. Going to Mizzou would be a downgrade from BV Northwest.

  6. Is it possible the dance teacher was protecting the school kids from exposure to twerking?

  8. Well, she is very black and very unattractive. The fact that she made a Division 1 dance team is misleading because it was Mizzou. Mizzou has become known as “Grambling of the Midwest.” They discriminate in favor of black students.

  9. I am stunned that local media is covering both sides of this story. Normally they just report what's in the court complaint as if it were established fact and we never hear about it again. Let's hope they stay on this one, and stay neutral as they report it.

  11. You ever seen a ugly anything win a dance or figure skating award? Nope it don't happen that way. Ever seen a down hill lady skier that was ugly? It's all about looks and fitting in. This chick didn't fit in so she wasn't picked to be on the team. This is Johnson County and who gives a rat fink fuck what Mizzou does.

  12. Yeah, I'd imagine BV West actually has a better dance team than Mizzou. I'm not being sarcastic. I honestly believe there is more talent there than mizzou

    1. Not to mention that most of the parents are loaded and will spend whatever is necessary for private lessons, beauty treatments, etc. if it helps get their daughter in the troupe.

  14. I think this is just a case of sour grapes and a hope for a jackpot. For one thing, any communications on the teacher’s phone are private and the girl shouldn’t have been snooping. Secondly, when actors or dancers are cast, it’s common to request certain physical characteristics. Tall, thin white woman with blonde hair. Short, heavy black guy with dreadlocks. Maybe her look wasn’t right for the group. If her skin is that thin, she’s going to have a lot of insults and disappointments in her life. She should just chalk it up to a little life lesson.
