Will Senator Hawley Help Missouri?!?!

Here's a slightly more balanced look at the Senator-elect than what our local daily rag is offering. Already the bar is set low for this noob who was only more popular than one of the most despised ladies in statewide politics. This column considers the fate of his career as the voting public doesn't really seem to have much confidence in the lesser of two evils. Checkit:

Raasch: The big question in 2019 Missouri politics: What kind of senator will Josh Hawley be?

WASHINGTON * Come Jan. 3, when the pomp and ceremony of being sworn into office surrenders to the realities of governing, Missouri's new senator, Josh Hawley, may not grasp just what is hitting him. No one could, given the finger-pointing maelstrom he's walking into, and the unique profile Hawley brings to the fracas.

  1. He's gotta be better than Claire!

  2. Hawley does not have a private jet to take him to a condo in the Caymens.

  3. He's gonna be trump's butt boy.

  4. Probably as disinterested in doing a Senator's job as he was in being our Attorney General. He may show up in the Senate from time to time, but most of his efforts will be going toward getting a position that will keep him in his home town, and not require him to have anything to do with Missouri again.

  5. I would prefer he do nothing. God spare us from all politicians who are "here to help."

  6. All he has to do to beat his predecessor is not be an ugly, spiteful, liberal old bitch.

I think he can pull it off.

  7. ^^^ Yup @10:28 , easy for him to pull off, after all, he's exactly the opposite, a wimpy, spiteful conservative young bitch.

  8. He shows a sweet box in them jeans.

Better to look at than Claire.

  9. He will vote to confirm the next conservative justice and thus the votes will be 6-3 or 5-4, a win is a win, sorry chicken in every pot folks.

  10. It also depends on his fellow Senate members. Border Funding passed Congress THE Senate said no. In 2019 MISSOURI CAN'T depend on the federal government. MISSOURI will have to take care of itself. No money for the toy train expansion.

  11. Who is he?

    The Kevin Yoder of Missouri.

Say anything and then vote with your donors. The most corrupt type of politician in the world.

He's Trump's buttboy for now, but has a history of supporting GOP impeachments. He'll stab Trump in the back when the time is right.

The best part is conservatives are stuck with him until he becomes the Pat Roberts of Missouri. Two years as AG and Hawlery busted a move to get out of shithole Jeff City and move back to DC and hang with his Ivy League buddies. You'll see the flannel shirt every six years when he returns to flyover country for a few fundraisers and selfies with the rubes.

  12. ^^^ This is truth.
