  1. Why are they wasting money on this? Have you ever drove down suspect avenue? It takes way too long to drive because there’s already way too many busses driving up and down it. 55million my ass, this is just another skimming plan by sLIE and his merry band of thieves.

  3. Only way this works is if they bus a shitload of police into those neighborhoods and round up the criminals.

  7. Stop me if you've heard this one.

A bureaucrat, a blind man, and a beggar stop on a street corner....

  8. Half the cost of the streetcar, but twice the boondoggle. Give 5500 people there a $10000 car to get around town or go to work, and let them cover the operational costs, not taxpayers.

  9. "operational costs", are you kidding? when stops, leave on street---forever.

operational costs,,,,,that's almost as funny as liability insurance, ha, ha.

the "go to work" part is also funny.

  10. Nothing is going to save eastside. Those folks choose to be bad. Build anything you want on the racial divide it won't help.

  11. The problem is when KCATA loses sight of its most important function which is bus transit. When they try to be an economic development agency they do things like troost Max and now prospect Max. The 71 route is fine and prospect Max will be zero more frequency. The construction downtown has made east 11th & east 12th suicide zones downtown especially 11th between main and Walnut and 12th at grand. Silly streetscapes like a "floating bus stop" are going to make it dangerous for cyclists plus monster curbs over 12" high they have already poured at those new stops. Waste of money even though some of it is a federal check most of it is sucked out of local pockets. Kcata is likely going to hike fares if they keep this up. Sorry for rant but I could go on and on and unlike most of the D-bags on this site I actually ride the bus a few times a week.
