Quick quote sent our way from one of our AWESOME READERS that deserves just a bit of attention this morning . . .
"Hey TKC, just wanted you to know it's amazing how much crime stays OUT of the news. This afternoon at a BOX STORE parking lot off Linwood & Main and I heard the very distinct sounds of semi-automatic gunfire in the parking lot along with sirens following soon after. A few people around me ducked. Those who knew the sound of gunfire got out of there in a hurry and some of the commuters either ignored it or were unaware. Just thought you might want to run a cross check because I looked for it on the news and there was NOTHING. I guess there's a lot of gunfire and shooting incidents we don't here about in KCMO because it's so commonplace."
And so this quick slice of life inspires a quick collection of news links concerning metro crime . . .
