TKC SUNDAY NIGHT: KANSAS CITY MURDER CULTURE RUINS CHRISTMAS!!!

As we approach the holiday it's important to notice the rising local homicide count wielding influence over Kansas City Christmas celebrations.

Accordingly . . .

IN 2018, KANSAS CITY CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS UNDER THE SHADOW OF DEADLY VIOLENCE!!!

Whilst politicos tout a dip in the murder numbers as evidence of "progress" achieved, so far this year still remains one of the most deadly of the past decade.

What's worse is that car crime, robberies and incidents of gunfire have also increased.

As the election approaches we notice very few candidates talking about the issue of rising violence. It's doubtful that there will be any major change in strategy or tactics to confront this problem that has propelled KCMO to a ranking as one of the most dangerous cities in the nation.

Check the links:

CBS: In Kansas City, Missouri, the violent crime rate is 1,655 per 100,000 people. In 2017, 151 people were murdered in that city.

KSHB: Kansas City ranks fifth among U.S. cities in murder per capita

Fox4KC: Daughter of homicide victim helps kids like her at Christmas

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. Don't expect any of the candidates to talk about crime and violence because there's nothing they can do. They don't have any new ideas.

Instead, what I see is that the conversation has shifted to "affordable housing" which basically means candidates promising poor voters more housing vouchers and free rent in exchange for their votes. That they can do.

    1. What you need to emphasize is that these murders aren't just all gang or drug killings. There is a lot of domestic violence and even some robbery deaths in these murders. That's the thing, violence spreads fast and has a a way of striking people outside of the urban core.

    2. The numbers are actually way higher. If KC hadn't changed the counting methodology a few years ago. We'd be among the top 3 most violence cities per capita.

  2. More murder is Sly's legacy.

  3. They also don't mention the 400+ people who were shot this year but survived. If all crime in KCMO was covered by the media. There wouldn't be any other news.

  4. sLIE hasnt lifted a finger to stop crime, hell, he doesn’t even mention it at all, his response is to fund a bunch of worthless ass anti crime programs that do nothing but drain the budget. This is the worst crime and murder wave this city has ever seen period under any mayors watch EVAR. 7:02 is correct, this is sLIE’s legacy.

  6. A per capita murder rate higher than Chicago. Let that sink in. Mayors fight nights dont help, and neither do stupid slogan slush fund non profits.

Single parent fatherless homes on the east side. Thats a cultural problem no anti 2nd amendment liberal ideology will ever solve.

  7. Hey, why dont black families adopt white kids? Huh? Why? Let that sink in and let your mind go on a helluva ride around the universe, man... are you disrupted yet?

  8. We'll be the "Rio of North America" at this rate.

  9. Probably the only thing that can save KCMO at this point is give cops license to hunt down and kill off all the criminals.

  10. I see many white couples raising black children thru adoption, but ain't never seen a black couple raising white kids. Why is that?

    2. TKC SUNDAY NIGHT: KANSAS CITY NEGROES RUIN EVERYTHING!!!

It's a fact that Tony REFUSES TO ADMIT: blacks are 82% of the victims and 94% of the suspects. Year after year the KCPD starts bear this out.

Say it once, Tony. JUST ONCE. ADMIT THE PROBLEM.

Also, adoptable children have what's called the right of first refusal. What white human child in their right mind would choose to go live with what's basically a bunch of animals?

      "None," that's who.

  11. First the kid gets kicked out of his familys home for doing meth. Then the kid joins the gang that sells him meth bc everyone sober has abandoned him. Then the new gangmember addicted to meth gets involved in a cycle of addiction and his new "family" gets him or her to sell the drugs in order to make profit and the user gets to support the habit for free. Most homeless shelters and recovery homes have current or ex gangmembers in there. I just did kcpds job in 10 seconds. Your welcome. Take away drugs you take away murders. Use your head

  12. If drugs are a big part of the murder problem, and they are, how is the $20 million/year COMBAT tax money being spent?
Maybe try something different than the way it's been spent for decades.
Maybe fund some serious programs and demand results and accountability.
Maybe look at how ALL the money is spent through COMBAT and the menagerie of "anti-crime" fake nonprofits and stop making believe most of these grifters actually accomplish anything.
Sly, the council, the Police Board, COMBAT "managers", Chief of Police, prosecutor, feds...
Way past time to really get serious.
Surely, between subsidizing any "developer" with so much as a pulse, there must be just a little time to address public safety.
Since it's the most important responsibility of ANY level of government.

  13. Let's fight crime with tech.
Do a 23&Me genetic workup on each and every kid in KC school district. 20k kids x $100 = 2 mil.
That's year one. Subsequent years any new kids in district will get swabbed. The schools can teach a class on genomics and geography, etc.
The authorities should have access to the database and let the AI clear some old cases. Great way to help sort the bad ones out from the good ones.
    Be a real Smart City.

  17. I am surprised by some of the stupidity in these comments. Very shameful, they indicate there is still a lot of stupidity in KC which must be overcome. Hopefully, we can start the new year on a better note with more progress beyond the negativity.

  18. The money is what is important. The chamber doesn't care about the bodies.

  20. You all ever notice that idiot whose name I mock never has much to say on the stories about crime, shootings and violence? Is that not the "momentum" we are going for, being a dangerous murderous city? Perhaps we can collectively achieve the goal of Most Dangerous City per capita? Sadly I must agree with some other comments, which I suppose through the lens of 2018 could be considered as racist, in that our crime rate is more of a culture issue than a gun-control issue. True guns are the weapon of choice by many a hood rat, gang member or rednecked tweaker, but there are plenty of slice of life examples of that not being the case. There is a will to kill among many in our metro area. Sir Sly had an opportunity to get ahead of the situation by hiring more police, saturate the high crime areas, and employing a prosecutor who is actually tough on crime. By appearances though shopping for a new airport, street car route and discounted bow ties seemingly are more important than being a real leader. Sly is no leader, he's a manager at best, and you know the difference between the two...managers manage things, leaders lead people. I hope whomever is his predecessor does a better job of being a leader. Perhaps then the crime rate will improve.
