As the community across the bridge continues to expand, there's a growing need for more infrastructure.
Credit to Councilman Scott Wagner & Council Lady Heather Hall who led the way on this effort.
An enthusiastic message from the Northland lady to her followers and fans . . .
Council Lady Heather Hall: "We are moving forward on pouring the foundation for the new Northland Fire Station 15! Progress toward campaign promise.
#StandingUpForTheNorthland"
More look at the build up on the nicer side of the bridge . . .
Developing . . .
Yes, the Northland really needed the new fire station and it is good progress.
ReplyDeleteBut we also need more police on patrols and more infrastructure and more sidewalks. The work is good and I'm glad to see progress but what's annoying is that the fastest growing part of the city is always treated like a stepchild and put last on the list of city hall priorities.
The lack of fire fighting facilities out here was criminal, get this done faster.
DeleteThank you Heather Hall. Thank you Scott Wagner.
DeleteScott Wagner didnt do shit. This was all because of Heather Hall.

^^^^ Said scott taylor.
ReplyDeleteYou guys need to get a room.
KCMO has taken over way too many square miles to service and maintain efficiently.
ReplyDeleteSimple answer, @10:08 - de-annex all of KCMO north of the River.
ReplyDeleteFine with us!
10:08 and 10:23 am - totally agree with the "Let's Get OUT of KC" idea. We've been the cash cow for the core and we've gotten nothing for our contribution. The City grabbed land all the way up to the Smithville city limits, for crying out loud. It's farm land with nothing but gravel and dirt roads. Yet, they still pay the same high taxes for "non-existent City services". De-annex now.
ReplyDeleteMost of the north wants out of KC. Can't say I blame them.
ReplyDeleteYup, de-annex, but then City Hall would have to get by without 50% of its land area, 43% of its population, and 62% of its revenues.
ReplyDeleteBe interesting to watch, wouldn't it - especially when Jolie Justice starts raging against those "ungrateful bastards in the north" again (who she never seems to remember make up one out of five of her 4th District constituents).
And can you imagine Quinton railing against the "Racism" of an area that includes the Third most diverse High School and the Number One most diverse Elementary School in the State?
Ha! Kansas City and its third world problems. I'll enjoy my nice sidewalks and services in Lee's Summit.
ReplyDeleteLee Scummit hot bed of section ape expansion.
