Hawley gets plum committee assignments, including judiciary and homeland security

WASHINGTON * Missouri's new senator, Republican Josh Hawley, will be on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the panel that vets federal judicial nominees and was in the spotlight earlier this year over the contentious nomination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Hawley announced his committee assignments Wednesday.
