Seahawks and Chiefs go blow for blow, but Chiefs lose 38-31
With big playoff implications for both teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks went blow-for-blow for four quarters. The Chiefs had no answer for Seattle's rushing attack, but Seattle had no answer for Patrick Mahomes magic. Turnovers ended up making the difference as the Chiefs lost 38-31, deferring their hopes for a one seed in the postseason for one more week.
Kansas City Consternation

The Kansas City Chiefs missed a major opportunity on Sunday night to control the AFC through the rest of the playoffs. Instead of locking up home-field advantage and the AFC West title on Sunday night with a win over the Seattle Seahawks, they come limping home with a second straight defeat after suffering the 38-31 loss.

Hotel Hottie Punting Turning Point
Chiefs lose to Seahawks, and haven't been the same team since cutting Kareem Hunt
Perhaps it's a coincidence that ever since the Kansas City Chiefs cut running back Kareem Hunt, they haven't been the same team. The Chiefs weren't going to slice through the NFL forever, even if the video of Hunt kicking and shoving a woman hadn't led to his release on Nov.
You decide . . .
The implosion has begun.
ReplyDeleteSuch a defeatist website. There were a lot of KC highlights in that game. Playoff time is tough and we see the Chiefs more competitive than ever. That is not a bad thing.
DeleteHey now, let's be fair to the home team. If they were working in any other sector of KC politics, we would call this momentum, applaud their efforts and wait for more subsidy from the federal government.
ReplyDeleteWas Kelce playing in another time zone? Didn't see much of him tonight.
DeleteA better question: Where did "great value gronk" go?
DeleteThe traditional playoff season implosion from The Chiefs make us feel right at home for Christmas in Kansas City. It wouldn't be December if the all of the team's promise earlier in the year didn't magically evaporate just when the NFL competition few more intense.
ReplyDeletePat "the ketchup" Mahomes is still damn good. Team hasnt been the same since Hunt was let go. Defense needs help, but they can pull some decent plays from time to time.
ReplyDeleteThe game was definitely hard to watch. I cringed at the last field goal they made in the 4th. They should have gone for the TD.
PENALTIES! Gawd, if they could run a defensive set of four plays without a penalty they could win.
ReplyDeleteTired of annual disappointment from this over-hyped franchise.
Mahomes is a joke...A Flash in the pan. I am the real deal. KC missed out on my talents. One and done in the playoffs as usual.
