6-year-old girl hit by car in east Kansas City
A 6-year-old was hit by a car Friday evening on U.S. 40 near Phelps Road. Kansas City police said the girl is a foster child and was trying to run away from home when she was hit about 7:30 p.m. She was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
There are a lot of feral foster children living in woods east of that intersection.
