Pitch Promised Kansas City Readers An EPIC Calendar But Now They Sputter To Finish 2018

The so-called "alternative" magazine is barely managing to publish 3 blog posts a week and they're begging for cash on every article they offer.

However, what's more important is that this mag touted a return of an EPIC KANSAS CITY CALENDAR as new management took over . . . Meanwhile, this paltry X-mas list activity guide has less than a dozen local events and looks like it was put together by a bored intern.

Moreover, TKC really wishes the lead white lady in charge would STOP talking about how happy she is to own the fading publication and instead empower her freelanceers to take a more fierce tone in their writing.

Accordingly, here's the current Pitch "calendar" listing for this month of holiday bliss which is mostly just an excuse for some middle-class white lady to brag at holiday cocktail parties. Checkit:

  1. Awwwww, that is rather grinch like. They are doing their best. It is more expensive to hire hipsters than you realize.

  2. Hey, just happy the pitch is still there. They do good work for what they are and there is just no way the glory days of the 90s are coming back!

  3. Come hobnob with the Kauffman Center well to do geezers.

  4. They need to become a nonprofit, become the go-to title for regional arts coverage, not just KC, find an initial benefactor and create a nonprofit multimedia platform, ditch print entirely except for maybe a special supplement or two.

  5. ^^^^ Good idea but there are already 3 "magazines" in KC doing the same thing.

Studio KC is the most successful at that.

  6. What will they do with the distribution boxes throughout the metro?
