KCI airfield lights temporarily down, flights diverted

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Airfield lights at KCI weren't operational for about 20 minutes Tuesday night. Some flights were delayed or diverted. Olivia Althoff told 41 Action News she was on a Southwest flight from Orlando scheduled to land at KCI at 5:30 p.m.

  1. Don't really know if Kansas DCF needs to spend 30 million or not but if they need to do it to adequately take care of children in their care I would support that. Just make sure it is needed.

    I travel 24 hwy and that intersection at Blue at Little Blue Pkwy should not have any accidents. The problem is, there are red light runners who speed up to high rates of speed to run the lights. I almost got T-boned by one of these idiots. Maybe if they could plant more cops out there to stop these wacko's it would be safe. There is no reason for there to be accidents out there.
