The old school cowtown newspaper argues for for politics by way of quotas and manages to insult everybody with this racially motivate and antiquated view of diversity. Checkit:
Gov. Mike Parson picks three white men for statewide office | The Kansas City Star
In an era when diversity is essential, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson has selected three white men for vacancies in statewide offices. While the men are well qualified, the governor needs to extend his reach.
The Kansas City Star. Racism at it's worst.
ReplyDeleteGet out the 23 AND ME, so we can decide who is dark enough to hold the job. It actually makes sense in a way. After all, if you start assessing achievements and actual accomplishments, you might have to award position and power based on tripe like this;
ReplyDeletehttps://www.politico.com/pdf/080222_MOPrincetonThesis_1-251.pdf
That is Michelle Obama's Princeton "Thesis". Yep, she graduated with this singular, head above the crowd, enlightening "thesis".
A solipsistic, anecdotal, first person account, of her mostly personal experiences with "Raycissm!!!" peppered with quotes from Stokley Carmichael couched parapetetically in and out of the pretense of "Objectivity".
If she could well be the next president, then, what the fuck, give these poor old white boys the last jobs they will probably ever actually EARN.
Typically, no ability to comment on the site of that post. But I have a few questions for the authors:
ReplyDelete-- Of what race and gender is the CEO of McClatchy Newspapers?
-- Of what race and gender is the Editor of the star?
-- Of what race and gender is the managing editor of the star?
To borrow the construct of a true sage who wrote that, while McClatchey "picked men who can do the job, sure," it's disappointing to see this level of hypocrisy "at a time when diversity is more valued than ever."
And by the way: who is the "some" referencing when it says the appointments were "disappointing to some"? Some, no doubt, huddled in a green-glass building closet that has replaced the editorial boardroom.
He's a far right conservative what black person would he hire that is a conservative?
ReplyDeleteThe governor's not loading the ark and he's not staffing the pitiful (but diverse) editorial board of the Star.
ReplyDeleteHe's trying to find competent capable people of actually running a state government.
And, given Parson's stated priorities of focusing on infrastructure and education, he's on the right track.
The Star has no responsibility for much of anything.
-- Of what race and gender is the CEO of McClatchy Newspapers?
ReplyDeleteWhite female.
-- Of what race and gender is the Editor of the star?
Hispanic male.
-- Of what race and gender is the managing editor of the star?
Black female.
Any other pointless questions?
Craig Forman, CEO, isn't female, but in Cali these days, you can never be sure. The m.e. is a white male, google his name. You just here for the disinformation, or just a fucking idiot?
Delete^^^^^ Those aren't pointless questions, the Star is playing the race game.
ReplyDeleteFact: The majority of their employees are white and live in Johnson County.
Also you're lying, Mike Fannin isn't Hispanic on his best day. He's a hot headed lil Irishman, God Bless him!
Is that why Fannin is a president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists?
DeleteFannin is a WHITE Hispanic. Stop with your old conceptions of race wildman, you're embarrassing yourself.
DeleteYOU ALL SUCK
ReplyDelete^^^ Keep sniffing the farts wildman, maybe one day you'll be satisfied.
ReplyDeleteEDITORIAL BOARD REACHES FOR A NEW LOW, AND ARRIVES THERE THEMSELVES
ReplyDeleteOne of the worst editorials ever.
9:11, and the Star, that exemplar of diversity, is a piece of crap. Obviously diversity alone doesn't get the job done. Insist on competence first, diversity will follow.
ReplyDeleteStar is retarded and no one reads it. News at 11
ReplyDelete10:11 suddenly so sophisticated wisdom on tkc. A more whimsical way of your word: what does a pickpocket see in a roomful of cops, i mean saints, pockets.
ReplyDeleteYou cam remain a fart tho.
@ 10:22 Exactly. If diversity is so great, why is the Star failing so well? I am not saying that it's failing because of its diversity, just that diversity doesn't automatically make something better. Ask the diversity-laden legal citizens of California how all of the diversity crossing the southern border illegally is helping their state (other than those picking fruits and vegetables, mowing lawns, and cleaning the homes and pools of the rich).
ReplyDeleteThe postmodern concept of diversity is a total fraud. It's literally nothing but the trading of airy, untested concepts by overpaid 'experts' whose only qualifications are political. It's the modern American equivalent of the Soviet political officers that infested every part of life. Say the right things, check the right box, nod, and God help you if you speak out against the state religion. Especially if the state is your religion.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Parson will pick a Black Female to replace Hawley in the US Senate when Josh resigns in February or March to take a permanent Job in Washington.
ReplyDeleteYou have to admit, "it's a possibility" (chuckle).
Mexican American single fathers are not represented...what about short dudes.
ReplyDeleteWomen with overbites
Black dudes that drive a cutlas
Good call, this column is very silly. One of the worst I've seen.
DeleteParson's white men can declare themselves to be whatever race and gender they want since this is what the libtards like to do. Female Appache, lezbo Afrikan, and gay Meheekan... Now, is everyone happy? =8^/
ReplyDeleteAll Democratic candidates for Missouri statewide offices were white
ReplyDeleteand all top Democratic candidates for President in 2016 and 2020 are
white. You won't see the Star mentioning that.
I recall Cleaver on the ballot.
ReplyDeleteHow’s many old people have to cancel subscription to KC Star over $700 rate?
ReplyDeleteCall them up and can’t understand their employees’ English?
The entire newsroom - their jobs are dependent on people overseas who are very hard to understand and yet they have a special group of people whom by the nature of their jobs (editorial board) insult half their potential readers with every group of keystrokes.
Until the editorial board is dismissed and the people who answer their phones are understandable- no one should expect old ladies to pay $700 for garbage.
