LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - As salt trucks treated highways around Kansas City early Thursday morning, another team worked from inside to make sure the driving public has a safe commute. Traffic operators and customer service representatives monitor phone calls, cameras and other tools from the Kansas City Scout center based at the Missouri Department of Transportation's Kansas City district office.
