A public accommodation or facility is not allowed to ask for documentation or proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal. Local laws that prohibit specific breeds of dogs do not apply to service animals.

But anyone can go on Amazon and order service dog vests and leashes and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

Generally guide, hearing and service dogs are permitted to accompany their disabled owner everywhere members of the public are allowed, including your favorite restaurant or movie theater.

This practice is starting to be noticed everywhere with people claiming their dog is a service animal and you have no right to question them about it. As a landlord you can't charge them a pet deposit either or you can be sued. But they don't have to prove squat other than to tell you it is a service dog and it wears a vest or markings that say it's a service dog.

Another good thing that like handicap parking is being abused and will only get worse.
