Authorities in Cass County are investigating a possible homicide Friday east of Raymore, the Sheriff's Office said. Investigators said the death happened in the 1000 block of North Jerry Avenue. Authorities are not releasing information about the victim. Investigators said they are searching for a person who fled from the scene in a vehicle.

OLATHE, KS (AP) - A Mission motorcyclist has been charged in a wreck that killed the woman who was riding behind him. Fredrick Wilson Kane, 42, was booked into jail Friday. He is charged with involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence in the death of 35-year-old Sierra Crooks.

KU football player Pooka Williams charged with domestic battery, suspended from team

University of Kansas star football player Pooka Williams has been arrested and charged with domestic battery following an incident at a KU dorm this week. KU police arrested Williams - whose full name is Anthony Ray Williams - at the KU Public Safety Office, 1501 Crestline Drive, and he was booked into jail at 3 p.m.

Cell phone video questioned in Kareem Hunt assault investigation

It took roughly 30 minutes for Cleveland police to respond to a downtown luxury hotel after a woman called 911 to report a man named "Kareem" had assaulted her. That 911 call came from Derek Szeto's cell phone. Szeto had allowed 19-year-old Abby Ottinger to use his phone.
