  1. So, I guess if we take away all of the guns we still have to worry about knives and cars when it comes to Kansas Citians killing one another. Too bad, maybe stopping violence is about more than disarming people.

Or maybe disarming the public has nothing to do with preventing violence at all.

  3. It’s free. The paywall sucks...it’s kind of like the border- easy to get over.
The news is free and should be. Jus google the star and what section- click and read....
They shut that down and their numbers go away. Their ads are just for Hallmark socks and geriatric stuff.
They should outsource the editorial board to city hall workers or the overseas workers that answer their phones and truly represent the company when customers call.
Karma is a bitch for the Star.

  10. I’m calling for 135 by the end of the month, that is if they actually start reporting the real murder numbers, they haven’t counted the guy shot to death on 9th street for starters.

  12. Sorry police have already told citizens all year they don't have time to fill out reports and of course if your in the process of being robbed you get a busy signal, or "they will be there in 15 minutes - maybe".

  13. Don’t forget one important facet, the police don’t work for the city, they work for the state.

I was broke into once and they don’t come investigate anything anymore, you have to provide all the documentation, serial numbers and pictures or video and deliver it to them. In about a month or two they might put it in a system that alerts pawn shops to look out for these items, let that sink in, a month or two, hell, it will be bought and sold at the pawn shop within two days of getting there.
