Kansas City Affordable Housing Trust Threatens Parking Garages With $75-Million In Additional Taxes: Is It Worth It???

Remember that ever new tax on Kansas City biz is INEVITABLY passed on to consumers.

And so

Whilst the developer crowd laments the "vague" deets of a plan to create a Kansas City Affordable Housing Trust, here's what will have to pass for an assurance . . .

Meanwhile, housing prices and cost of living is on the rise for all of KCMO and not just po'folk. One more tax from 12th & Oak just might make things worse for what looks like a tougher 2019.

  2. Quinton really does seem to be working harder than any of the other candidates these days. They all say stuff like that, but his name is the one that keeps popping up.

  3. ^^^^ Absolutely agree. At least he is doing something. Most of the other council is out there just begging for money.

  4. "Where to find $75m?"

Lucas cut the police and fire department funding, or raid the city pension funds.

  5. Lucas should never be in charge of spending $75 million of our money

  6. Lucas could wipe out all sLIE’s tax breaks and it would be raining money, then maybe he could get the stripes painted on the streets since nobody cares to fix anything, it’s a simple request actually, you know, the basic stuff they should be doing anyway.
