The Kansas City Chiefs say based on the team's current record and standing within the AFC, the team is preparing for a potential home playoff game. Tickets for a potential AFC Wild Card or AFC Divisional home game will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m.

Platte County isn't on the hook just yet for the Zona Rosa shopping center bonds. In September, bond trustee UMB Bank sent a letter to the Platte County Commission stating that the county was in default of its contractual obligations under the financing agreement for the Zona Rosa bonds.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A survivor of the Kirkwood City Council shooting is telling his story in a new book. Todd Smith was a journalist shot at the meeting back in 2008. Charles "Cookie" Thorton opened fire on the meeting and killed the mayor and city council members along with a police officer.
