Wordpress FAILS Kansas City As City Hall Desperately Looks To Revamp Website

Today's tech message from 12th & Oak:

"Tomorrow is the last day for KCMO residents to have their say on the new http://KCMO.gov website coming in 2019. We'll start evaluating and planning the new site on Monday. Take the survey today – http://kcmo.gov!"

Behind the scenes here's what we know . . .

- Most people just get their KCMO info via Twitter or not at all. Credit where it's due, they actually do have a very informative Twitter page.

- There's no plan to scrap the outdated Granicus video function that is more than a decade old.

- This council more than any other has been effective at hiding ordinances and amendments from voters and it's really the City Clerk's website that needs a revamp and move away from 20-year-old PDF technology.
