Fox4: Friend of KC woman allegedly killed by husband says she feared for her safety
More deets:
On Tuesday, a group of walkers called 911 after finding Tabitha Birdsong's body in the grass near Roanoke Park in Kansas City.
Gene Birdsong is now charged with stabbing to death his wife of nine years. Tabitha was also the mother of Birdsong’s two children. She had a total of five kids.
According to court documents, detectives found a protection order against her husband in Tabitha’s back pocket when she was found dead.
”I wasn’t the only one, but we were all very fearful of her life because of him. She really struggled because of the domestic abuse situation she was in, so I had to be there for her a lot,” her friend said.
Suspect Gene Birdsong remains in jail on a $300,000 cash-only bond.

ReplyDeleteTrue. RIP, lady.
DeleteSlie was watching his favorite TV program, 'World class KCMO homicide rate" as this homicide happened.

ReplyDeleteI agree with that! I think women should think about a CCW with an abusive partner!!
I've been to the Rose Brooks Center before and it's a very good place. So if you women out there need to get help go there and be safe!
He'll join the Nazi Dumb Waiters in the joint.
ReplyDeleteMan, if it was my daughter dealing with a pile of shit like this guy, I would probably go out and buy her a gun.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fine young man....
ReplyDeleteHe’ll be out in 5 years. Jean Petersucker Baker will let him plead down to involuntary manslaughter.

ReplyDeleteNo. Jury nullification is only present with Black defendants. This ape will do 20 years for sure. If he was black, they would plea it down, because blacks won't convict other blacks for anything.
Ban husbands.
ReplyDeleteHope women realize restraining orders are fucking useless and offer no protection. The second amendment has done more to advance women's equality than any social policy
ReplyDeleteDon't worry KCPD came up with a Homeowners checklist that should have saved her.
ReplyDeleteHe is a dirtbag! I hope he rots in prison.
ReplyDeletegoood thing these shelters always have room and are exclusively funded by private donations.
ReplyDeletegood thing she could afford family planning services.
ReplyDeletelast summer, late at night i saw a woman huffing down the street with stroller with two toddlers. I passed her in my car, and thot in the darkness she was 70 years old, her back all hunched. I thot she kind of gestured at me when i went by. So i went around the block several times and she just kept huffing dwn the road. She passed me, and i said 'do you need a ride?' I felt terrible b/c later i thot my voice may have conveyed, lady what the hell are you doing. She answered me, saying 'no sweetheart i am almost there. I realized she was about 25 years old. I did not have much of car to put them all in, and no idea if 'almost there meant 2 blocks' or 4 miles left out of 60 miles. SO i went home and felt like shit.
ReplyDeletehopefully she was fine, had only two blocks to go, could have used a spinal brace years ago, and my imagination overreacted.
ReplyDeleteWomen do love a bad boy don't they?
ReplyDeleteyeah if they can remove the scald prevention device on your shower faucet, add a screen porch, insulate your crawl space, and put new vinyl siding on your house, without fucking you over.
