Pricey Kansas 'Teach For America' Shame

Behind the scenes, here's a story that Kansas Teacher's unions put on blast but STILL offers an important lesson on government waste and the ongoing education war in the Sunflower State:

Kansas To Pay Nonprofit Group $270,000 For Recruiting Three Teachers

The Kansas legislature agreed to pay education nonprofit Teach For America more than $500,000 this year for a pilot program to recruit 12 teachers to the state. But the national organization only recruited three teachers for the state in 2018.

  1. TFA has standards and they are not in any rush to place shit teachers in the workplace or teachers that end up in orange jump suits for fucking students.

  2. This is not accurate news. TFA has been active in Missouri for some time but just recently asked Kansas to be able to work in the State. Kansas like many states has about hundreds of unfilled teacher positions that they cant find enough qualified people for willing to work on a teachers low salary. With that said, you cant hire teachers when no teachers exist. TFA is an option to help with the shortage. So for those complaining, go to your local District and apply to be a substitute teacher. All you need is 60 college hours and a license from the state.

  3. Lawrence, Kansas needs better teachers. They need teachers in Lawrence who are not faggots, lesbians or social justice wimps. Right now that’s all they have.

  4. ^^It's a shame you talk about your parents that way! Have you no respect? Silly little mama's-boy!

  5. Local district paid a consultant $150k to find a new admin, from the "job board" that the State provides FOR FREE. Yes, the district could have simply gone to the site, widely publicized and known, searched for admin, and the profile IS RIGHT THERE. Turns out, some board members are intertwined with the recruiting company. Huh, who woulda thunk it?

  6. TFA is a scam. Everyone knows it.

  7. TFA used to donate to Public Radio.

    Think on that for awhile...
