PREZ TRUMP VS. THE BLUE WAVE AND KANSAS CITY MIDTERM MATCH-UPS!!!

Whilst lesser newsie outlets are still trying to sway voter opinion with predictions and endorsements, we offer something a little bit more useful to our bloggy community and boil down the most important their most essential elements . . .

And so, here are the basics of the MATCH-UPS we think will define this Midwest Midterm election . . .

Cruella Vs. Alex P. Keaton

There are no heroes in the Missouri contest betwixt Senator Claire McCaskill Vs. AG Josh Hawley. She is one of the richest ladies in the Senate, with her own plane and willing throw anybody under the bus if they stand in her way. The challenger stabbed a Navy Seal in the back to get this far and a great many in the GOP find his golden boy ambition extremely off-putting . . . Reality Check: There won't be many tears shed at the misfortune of either side after the votes are counted.

Cowboys Vs. Indians: Sorry

The differences in this contest should be clear even if this contest didn't get as nasty as some Kansas 3rd District voters wanted . . . Fact is, this is the crux of the culture war in Kansas and should tell us how deep the so-called Blue Wave really runs.

All of the Missouri weed measures are going to end up in court so the choices confronting voters really don't matter until some brave soul at the Federal level finally decides to "legalize it" for everybody in a move that would make stoner history in much the same way as the oeuvre of Cheech & Chong.

In the final analysis, we all seem to understand this vote is really about Prez Trump and whether or not the electorate will help him to navigate the Democratic Party deluge or send his administration crashing down under a BLUE WAVE of resistance.

You decide . . .

  1. Wave is being very generous.

Historically, there is always some take back and that is to be expected. Maybe a splash but a wave isn't what you would call it.

    1. I think President Trump made it clear, do you vote for jobs and economic progress or for "resistance" to the better economy? Most voters that I see care about the money in their hand and not the promises far down the line from the Democratic Party.

I think some predictions would be even more useful..

      Hillary Shields loses.

      Sharice Davids Loses.

      Laura Kelly Loses.

      Claire McCaskill Loses.

      Any questions?

  15. A Democrat majority House could impeach Trump, but it would take a two thirds Senate vote to remove him from office. That's not going to happen. And even if the Dems control Congress, Trump will still have his pen and his phone, just like Obama did.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The Dems have been waiting to impeach a pres since the Rep house did Clinton in the 90's. It has nothing at all to do with facts or actually removing him from office; they just want to say Pres. Trump was impeached. Means nothing. Unfortunately a blue splash would essentially deadlock government for the next two years. But, I'm generally okay with that. Trump can continue with the rules rollback and trade negotiations without Congress, which is where the real progress is being made. Maybe we'll actually get a balanced budget if both parties are trying to say "the other party is running up the bill". We can dream can't we.

Those people against Trump need to sit down and shut the hell up. Then after removing their heads out of their asses look at just what the democratic party they so love has done to this country. If they fail to see the damage that has been done then the only other solution would be to off themselves because that kind of stupidity is what is holding this country back from being great. That being said we don't need people in office who have no clue how male and female relationships are what is good and is normal and not their gay desires resulting from their mental health illness. Davids is a cancer on society and has no business being in any political office and has proven what a failure she actually is. Several other gay supported politicians should also be voted out and no more ever elected to be in office. It's time this country purged itself of this mental disease that is ruining our country and the lives of our children who are being brainwashed to accepting this perverted way of life.
This country has homeless people and those suffer from lack of medical care who are not able to get help but to many of our political leaders are falling all over themselves to allow people from other countries to move in here and receive the care many of its own residents can't have. Close our borders down now and get our country back to being great and taking care of its own and let the rest of the world deal with their own issues.

  22. 11:27 That was not me. This is.

In midtown Kansas City, I was in line, with 150 people at 75th and Oak at 5:30 in the morning. By 5:45. it was 300 people, the cars were parked many blocks away from the Library, as the parking lot was full. The polls opened at 6 am, I was in and out, 150 people at my back, in about 25 minutes. Polls are packed all over the city, as my friends tell me.

I think, our divisions, to this point, draw us peacefully to the polls. Conservatives in fear of the new anarchist Democrat Party, that seeks the destruction of heretofore norms in society, economy and policy, with no plan other than absurd, Marxist panaceas that anyone with more than a 10 watt bulb for a brain and a cursory knowledge of history, can see, has failed on an epic scale every single time.

Democrats in hopes of validation of their own personal victimization/identification struggles, which are focused on the threat of a return to sanity and common sense, which, would get them out of their parent's basements and force them into the work force to actually contribute to society, as opposed to cashing checks, real and metaphorical, based on decibel levels while they wail and gnash their teeth at the imagined wrong doings of the "Patriarchy".

Let us hope, conservatives win the day. Even then, I imagine, that circa 1850, as Clay, Webster and Calhoun lay on their death beds, they imagined, that they had fought and won, through compromise, a hard won peace.

I am far less than sanguine, this victory, should it be achieved, will be fleeting and in my heart, I believe, these divisions, will come to bloody constraint for our children.

So, in advance of my death, prior to that conflict, I send, to our Liberal enemies in the 4th Estate, the Deep State, Washington D.C., Hollywood, Academe, my defiance, contempt, slight regard and all, you mutherfukkers, that does not become the mighty sender.

    ReplyDelete
  23. HA HA 11:27 you sure made an ass of yourself.

  24. ^^^High turnout likely spells bad news for the Republican side. As for overturning norms, I think the current turd in the White House has already done that.

  28. ^^@ 12:24PM-I'm sorry rube..Trump is NOT a good thing. He is quintessentially evil. It is the duty of ALL Americans to end his divisive, hateful and idiotic reign. If you are too blind to see that, then there's no help for you. Thankfully the next generation does not posses the hate, prejudices and resentment that the voters who elected this national embarrassment did. I'm also sorry you've been living in a bubble of your own creation to be so blind as to what's going on in this country right now. People are moving en mass to remove this stain on our country. Wake up!

Gas is low and headed lower.
We have a plan to stop ISIS and anyone else trying to get into our country illegally.
    Our military is stronger.
We have one of the lowest unemployment rates ever.

And Democrats are running on the Agenda of what?
    What is their common platform?

Getting rid of the guy who made all of the possible?

If only half the people who threatened to move to Canada if Trump was elected actually moved- then Hollywood would have some new names. In the meanwhile... vote today to Keep America Strong!

The "next generation" is mainly interested in texting "WTF" and "LOL" to each other.
They are poorly educated in Civics, as evidenced by their woefully incorrect assumptions about how our electoral process works.
They are mostly interested in who is fucking who, and how to get in on the action themselves.
And finally, they are great at stamping their feet and throwing a fit, if they do not get their way. ( "That's not FAIR!")

  44. The "booming" economy is fake news. Government numbers are lies. I'll quote Trump as my source.

    June 16, 2015
“Our real unemployment is anywhere from 18 to 20 percent. Don't believe the 5.6. Don't believe it.”

    Aug. 11, 2015
“Then you hear there's a 5.4 percent unemployment. It's really — if you add it up, it's probably 40 percent if you think about it.”

    Aug. 30, 2015
“They show those phony statistics where we are 5.4 percent unemployment. The real number, I saw a number that could be 42 percent, believe it or not.”

  46. The Trump recession has already started. The stock market had its worst October in 6 years. $2 trillion in wealth lost. The market is negative for the year.

$1 trillion annual deficits are back. Gas prices are 40 cents higher in the last year.

Corporations bought over $1 trillion of stock back. Real wages increases have not trickled down. Higher health care and energy costs have wiped out all gains.

Trump's new taxes on agriculture and materials have led to layoffs and farm bailouts.

Trump has taken the rigged economy and rigged it even more for his family and screwed the forgotten man.

    March 12, 2016

  56. You can't see a wave when focused on a few ripples in the local pond.

Each of these local races alone mean very little. Collectively (with other competitive races in mostly red states like Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia, New Mexico, Arizona and others) will they reveal if there is a real national wave and how big it is. Waves are rare. There have only been 2 in this century. 2006 and 2010.

If Dems win 15 to 20 House seats, is not a wave. That's normal mid-term opposition success. 25+ is a good night for them, but still not really enough to be considered a wave. 30 to 35+ is a wave. 40+ is a tsunami.
