Here's a hint the expenses are going to be passed on to customers and taxpayers in a major way . . .
Two of KCI's smallest carriers won't sign agreement for payment of KCI renovations
There's another hang-up on the KCI renovation project. Two of the airport's smallest carriers are not signing the agreement to pay for the renovated airport. The two airlines are Allegiant and Spirit. Both companies are unhappy about their share of the $20 million for a new baggage claim system in the renovated airport.
Would anyone familiar with the corrupt single-terminal shenanigans be surprised to learn that since Edgemoor won the initial bid, a great deal of behind the scene power moves have been played to sabotage them.
ReplyDeleteCan you guess what's coming? To what lengths will some people go to steer a multi-billion dollar construction contract?
Who was almost handed a no-bid exclusive contract which forbid any competitors from stepping forward to even offer alternatives? Answer: Burns and McDonnell
And which city leadership trio secretly colluded with this company to hand them the sweetheart deal of a lifetime? Answer: Schulte, James, and Justus
And who is pushing hard for Justus to become the next Mayor? Answer: Burns and McDonnell, James, Schulte, KC's corporate elite
Edgemoor is going to be forced out, and the above players will once again attempt to hand Burns and McDonnell the golden egg.
An airPORT,is a port as in point of entry into the city, not a destination in and of itself. Remodel and spend the rest of the money running the toy train up I29 over the new Broadway Bridge. All for about the same price.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s gopher boi have to say about this failure? Wait, what? He only responds on city time and on city equipment, or when sLIE tells him what to say and when.
ReplyDeleteDo not run toy train up I-29. Bums will then come North to BM.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteWell don't run the toy train south of brush creek I don't want the bums to BM here. HA HA HA HA
Gibbs dem mo MONIES now and forevermore $$$$$ WILL cure all the LIBERAL Democrats crime rate problem !¡!¡
ReplyDelete8:09 knows the deal.
ReplyDeleteGreat comment.
please put the beautiful fountain back into the plan.
ReplyDeleteFountain?! You mean many years of gift $ to KCPL. The water and electricity supplied to such a feature is an unnecessary expense.
ReplyDeleteBuild the hyper loop to St Louis and fly out of their airport.
ReplyDeleteThere are airports, as previously mentioned on TKC, in this country that are not as convenient as KCI. Some of these cities are not trying to replace their airports but have opted for the improvement plan. Since Slie is not their mayor the city government is fine with this approach.
ReplyDeleteRenovated airport? Michael Mahoney repeatedly says renovated airport. This isn't a renovation, it's going to be a NEW airport. He needs to look up the definition of renovation.
